"We stopped by for a meal after hiking Ingleborough and both of us ordered the Sunday Roast, which turned out to be disappointing. While the meat was good, the potatoes, vegetables, and stuffing were tough, and the Yorkshire pudding was so burnt that it was inedible. I noticed other diners at nearby tables had also left their meals. We mentioned our concerns to the waitress, but she didn’t seem particularly interested. The pub itself had a nice atmosphere, though."

Upon entering the bar at 4 PM with a stroller and two children, we encountered unfriendly treatment from the staff right away. The atmosphere felt like a poorly maintained Wetherspoons, but without the cost advantages. As locals, we won’t return until there’s a change in management— and that seems likely to happen soon. Came here on my birthday weekend, along with my 2 staffies. The food was excellent. The staff were brilliant. We sat out back, as our dogs can be a bit giddy. The cook even brought some sausages out for them, and they got lots of cuddles. 5 stars all the way!! Nearby activities: Lovely river nearby, and field for the doggos to play in.
