"We LOVED this charming little cafe on the front with views of the boats in the harbour and out to sea. Well worth the short walk away from the high street (and introduces you to a quirky little cobbled shopping area it would be a shame to miss). There were several vegan options on the brunch lunch menu and a good selection of vegan cakes as well. All drinks had vegan options. We had avocado and hummus on sourdough toast, granola with fresh fruit, coffees and a coconut babyccino. All delicious. Disappointed that there was no alternative yoghurt for the granola vegan option. The cafe is quite small and there were a couple of high chairs in there but not a great deal of space for pram parking or multiple kids. Fortunately our LO was o a great mood so we had a lovely time but I'd be careful about taking him there again. Highly recommend for a kid-free vegan brunch. No toilets."

"This was wonderful. There is no doubt I was satisfied. Food was great , service great, good experience all round. However, and I am bringing out the inner critic in me here, there are some bits worth mentioning. This was a lot of money; £150pp. So, for that, you expect a lot. The food was undoubtedly very nice and well considered. The flavours were wonderful. The presentation interesting (albeit a little style over substance at some points why butter is served on a stone I don’t know). We had the five courses with wine. And I couldn’t fault the flavour of either. So now comes to the ‘but’: 1. For that price, it would have been nice for the chef to have shown their face at some point during the proceedings. 2. The pace between course was slightly faster than I would have liked but that is a personal preference. 3. Not enough butter for the bread. 4. It is a small and close environment, with no soft furnishings, so the sound echoed a little. That would be fine (as it was small) but we had a drunk and rowdy table near by and fun as that is it was loud for us. 5. I wanted more story; where did the food come from, who was the chef, why here and now. Notwithstanding that all picky and un necessary excellent food/ excellent experience/ excellent evening. "We had an exceptional dining experience at the charming Lanes of Lymington. As frequent travelers and diners, finding suitable food can be a challenge for us as one of us is vegetarian and the other is pescatarian. However, we were both thoroughly satisfied with our meals. Everything was flawless - the dishes were hot, delicious, and beautifully plated, the service was impeccable, and the ambiance of the restaurant, housed in a stunning old church, was truly special. If you are looking for a unique and exceptional dining spot, look no further than this gem. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. The vegetarian risotto and rich seafood gratin were highlights, and the salad and dessert were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Well done, Lanes of Lymington - you deserve every star."

"I visited here last week as a birthday present and wow, what an amazing place. It was run by a very small team but it worked perfectly. The decor was simple but equally very stylish, without looking flash or poncy, and the David White painting on the wall of the Great white shark that sparkled in the light was absolutely amazing (I really want one) We both had the tasting menu and I had the wine pairing too, for an extra £35, it was an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend. The food was superb, we had no idea what we would be getting as the menu changes seasonally but they double checked if there was anything we didn't like before starting the courses and then we were off. We've eaten in quite a few michellin star restaurants now and there's usually always one dish that one of us isn't keen on, not this time. Genuinely cannot fault the food one bit, some of the dishes/drinks played tricks with your senses too, I really enjoyed the sherbert fountain with liquorice ice cream. Had a good chat with David and the team and we both loved the ethos and style of the restaurant. There wasn't an ounce of snobbishness here, you could wear shorts and a T-Shirt and feel comfortable, equally, you could get dressed up and also not feel over dressed due to the superb way in which they've styled the place. Would I recommend this place to friends, 100%. Would I visit again, absolutely, we are planning to go back later in the year. I would also highly recommend buying the cook book, it's one of the best books we have at home and gives you some great starting blocks to create your own dishes. Keep up the great work team"

"lunch for three was fabulous today. after a busy morning in the salon next door we chose the adjacent restaurant for part on price, locality and on recommendation of the salon staff. we were not disappointed. we chose from the lunch menu tapas and each had four dishes, all delicious and cooked for perfection. also choose the bananenfritter as sweet, divine! we have already planned a return plan in the near future."
