"Ostermontag, mein Mann (Rollstuhlfahrer) und ich wollten frühstücken. Als jahrzehntelange Kunden wissen wir um die Enge in dem Café, der leckere Nußkuchen war es wert. Nun ist mein Mann seit 1 Jahr behindert und sitzt im Rollstuhl. Sicher ist es nicht einfach, dieses Gefährt in der Enge zu platzieren, es geht aber mit Freundlichkeit und gutem Willen. Weit gefehlt, Werner Groß, einer der Besitzer war unwirsch und bot uns den Platz sehr unwillig an. Ich fragte, ob es überhaupt recht wäre, wenn wir in sein Lokal kämen, worauf er anfing laut zu werden, unsachlich und versicherte, dass er einen Platz angeboten habe und uns schließlich des Hauses verwiesen habe, nachdem ich signalisiert habe, dass wir unter diesen Umständen das Haus verlassen werden. Er hielt uns wenigstens noch die Tür auf und fuchtelte draußen mit erhobenem Zeigefinger vor meiner Nase herum und rief laut, dass ich seine Ehre beleidigt habe…..oh je, sehr sehr fragwürdiges Verhalten eines Café-Besitzers. "Nach einer langen Motorradtour wollte ich einfach nur etwas handfestes essen und ein gutes Bier trinken. Besser konnte ich es nicht treffen. Ich bestelle ein Cordon Bleu ein Kölsch und genoss während der angemessenen Wartezeit die schöne Altstadt von Bad Münstereifel. Das Essen kam auf einem erstaunlich kleinen Teller und ich hatte Bedenken satt zu werden. War aber nicht so. Es schmeckte hervorragend und die sehr freundliche und gut gelaunte Bedienung war immer zur rechten Zeit parat um meinen Durst zu stillen. Ich fühlte mich hier sehr wohl und werde ganz sicher wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend. Bleibt genau so wie ihr seid."

"Bad Münstereifel historical center has been converted in a big outlet store complex. This restaurant is conveniently located right in the center, next to the medieval gate and is in a very nice old building dated from 1618! We were with a group of friends and everybody was very satisfied with the food and the setting. Now is the asparagus season, the veal schnitzel with asparagus was delicious, and so was the green and white asparagus salad with potato pancakes. A glass of Sekt (sparkling wine) from the House was fruity and tasty and not expensive. So in short, good traditional German food and the prices are reasonable! The place inside is big, but the restaurant was not full and although we were a group of 10 persons we got all our food without big delay and simultaneously, but I can imagine that in hte evening when full you might have to be patient waiting for the food to be served. A tip: 10 minutes away with the car, at the Effelsberg is one of the two largest radiotelescope of the world with an antenna of 100m diameter! Very impressive place where the limits of the Universe are discovered. Worth visiting!Another tip is the parking. It is a medieval town on a pedestrian street, so to get rid of your car try the parking at the Triereer Straße which is practically the same street but outside the wall, otherwise the parking "Große Bleiche" both paying!"

"Produkte aus der Region werden hier für ein feines Frühstück verwendet. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Am Anfang dachte ich, es könnte ein bisschen zu wenig sein. Aber wir waren richtig satt. Der Besitzer war auch sehr nett. Hat uns etwas über die verwendeten Produkte erzählt. Wir würden wieder kommen."

"Plan B is located on the outskirts of Nöthen, a suburb of Bad Münstereifel. In beautiful weather you can sit there on a large outdoor terrace. From there you have a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. The interior is comfortably equipped. There is a small separate room. The food is simple, but tastes very good. The staff is very friendly and fast. The restaurant business also includes a large beverage trade with the rental of everything you can use for a festival. Plan B is used as a sports event"
