"on the day of August, after following the whole procession of the vara, we were quite tired and passing in front of the arches of this characteristic restaurant in the historical center we decided to stop. at the end of the dinner, strictly outdoor in the medieval lane under the arches, we can say we have gotten a great local cuisine accompanied with a delicious red of the etna. "The restaurant is adjacent to a small family-run hotel which bears the same name. It is recipient of a number of prestigious awards, evidenced by the many stickers affixed on the glass door, and that alone already says a lot. Although we were presented with an a la carte menu, we left the choice to the chef, but specifically asked for typical Sicilian cuisine for an antipasto. We were not disappointed! Both the chosen primo piatto and the main course that followed were cooked to perfection. The accompanying house wine was equally good. Selection of dessert was rather limited. The (sole) waiting staff was helpful and very efficient. Even though we were a group of people, all the food was served at the same time (as it should be)."

"On a recommendation we stopped for luch, arrived while staff eating, but we were profusely welcomed and tended to. English here is very limited and credit cards not accepted, be forewarned! We shared the beef tartare, flavored with lemon and mint (very subtly) scattered currants, a few blueberries and a spoonful of caviar. Sublime. I couldnt resist the idea of stuffed fresh pasta in pistaccio crema, so delicious. We didnt see any of the feral black pork on the menu, so i asked and they made up a plate of the sausage with sauteed spinach just for us. We had incredible red wine by the glass (too much driving back to giadini naxos for a bottle) connoli and cafe all for 56 euros. We are so happy we did."

"Il locale è grazioso è ben curato. Il personale scortese, maleducato, e per niente organizzato. Oltre al fatto che ci hanno fatto aspettare molto tempo, dopo numerose lamentele, la risposta che ci hanno fornito è stata: L'altra sala è piena di persone. Perché noi cosa eravamo? Hanno portato le bottiglie dell'acqua con il tappo automatico come se eravamo a casa. Quattro piccoli tagliere con 3 fettine di bruschetta (ben cotto è con il pomodoro molto dolce . Anche il cibo era buono, ma a discapito della qualità del servizio è del maniera di rivolgersi verso il cliente. Parliamo del conto: un tagliere con tre fettine di bruschetta € 5 l'acqua che poi si sono permessi di dire che era RIEMPITA DAL DEPURATORE € 2,50 a bottiglia tre panini di cui due con la carne di cavallo ed un Humburger ed una birra alla spina € 33,50 Per non parlare che si sono permessi di dire che stavamo ommettendo di pagare una birra perché a loro gli risultavano richieste 5 birre ed invece sul tavolo c'erano 4 bicchieri (io l'avevo richiesta più volte ed ne avevano segnata una in più considerando che tra una richiesta è l'altra sono passati venti minuti per poi consegnarla alla terza richiesta. Insomma evitate di andarci vi staccano la testa a discapito del locale e della qualità del cibo. Un'altra persona che era con me per un piatto di pasta ed una birra € 21 Insomma noi eravamo circa 12 persone è facendo il conto abbiamo pagato complessivamente circa 200 230 €"
