We went for dinner with friends and really enjoyed the meal.Very friendly service. We are getting disappointed with french cuisine, it seems to very basic everywhere, nothing special,this place is better overall.

I have stayed and eaten here two or three times. The rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, very well sound insulated. The food is limited for choice, with no vegetarian options. The quality is good without being great (although the cheeses are outstanding!

Excellent restaurant, one of the few to offer a local specialty based on cheese in Ambert: the oven. Complete dish with potatoes with bacon and oven, salad and several slices of country ham. Delicious and delicious. For dessert, a gourmet coffee worthy of this name with no less than 7 different desserts. Beautiful terrace and very clean sanitary. Nothing to say just great!

Having decided to break our car journey through France in Ambert, this hotel/restaurant prove to be a good choice. Our first-floor room was small but acceptable for an overnight stay. The en suite bathroom, actually a shower, was even smaller but it gleamed with excellent furnishings. The room overlooked a main route through the town but efficient double-glazing reduced road noise to less than a whisper. Fortunately, road was quiet during the night because we like to sleep with windows open but the traffic re-started early the following morning. This suited us because we wanted to make an early start but others may wish to ask for a room at the back. The hotel restaurant is a delightful cons... Ver carta
