"if there were six stars, you should give them. the italian is a really great restaurant in cuddly. there are very, very good eating to more than fair trips. the personal is very attentive and friendly, especially the chefin of the house is more hostess than wetin. it is very close to the guests and wants everyone to feel comfortable. also the wee are recommended. while most other Italian restaurants are supposedly good weine (as chianti or valpolicella) from oversized bottles, the Italian wine from the home region of chefin does not offer these shining by big names, but by taste. Summing up: such a local is rare!"

"Three Michelin stars represent "exceptional cuisine that is worth a special journey" and there couldn't be any more apt a description for this restaurant. Whilst the style of the decor of both the hotel and restaurant could never be accused of being cutting edge, it...has been so well maintained over the years that it still looks very fresh. The food was simply beautiful. Lots of ultra classical cooking techniques involving exceptional deeply flavoured sauces that have taken a long time to prepare. The Pomerol sauce accompanying a Dover sole was exquisite; sauces do not get better than this! All of the dishes were superb and the seasoning was always spot on; often at this level the seasoning can be verging on the side of slightly too much, but here it was absolutely on point. The whole meal felt very generous with plenty of amuse bouches and friandises. Even the cup of tea or coffee is served with a mini slice of a gateau opera. The wine list is very extensive and offers a wide selection of regional as well as international wines excellent vintages from top producers at pleasingly low markups which is a real treat in this day and age! The service was extremely attentive and it was also very friendly too with none of the starchiness or indifference that one can sometimes encounter. There are very few restaurants serving this style of cuisine at this level and this absolutely ranks amongst the very best... Ignore some of the trendy restaurants appearing on the World's Best list. Having been to quite a few of the top ranking ones, for me they simply don't compare to the quality and enjoyment that Waldhotel Sonnora offers. I can't recommend it highly enough and have already booked a return visit"

"Update. War dort auf Montage. Frühstück hat eine gute Auswahl und ist stets frisch. Der Herr der Hauses, immer gut gelaunt und einen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen, brachte sogar frisch gebackene Eier an den Tisch. Zimmertechnisch gut, aber nicht überragend. Hat ein sehr rustikales, angenehmes Ambiente, wie bei Oma fast. Betten sind bequem, Dusche, WC, Fernseher, alles da. Zimmer sind ordentlich und sauber. Leider sind aber auch die Spuren der Zeit nicht an dem Hotel vorbeigegangen, so sind die Sanitäranlagen recht alt und nicht mehr ganz in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand. Zudem recht beengt alles, aber das ist oft so in älteren Hotels. Kann man mit leben. Einzig stören würde mich etwas, dass die Zimmertüren im Gästehaus große Glastüren sind, die ebenfalls schon sehr alt und auch nicht mehr ganz schall- und luftdicht sind, sodass es stetig leicht zieht. Ansonsten günstig und gut, für mal ne Woche Urlaub ausreichend. In der Nähe, fußläufig in 10 Minuten zu erreichen ist eine Gewerbegebiet mit Lebensmittelläden. Ein Stern bei Service möchte ich jedoch abziehen, da die Dame des Hauses etwas ruppig rüberkam, wann immer wir mit ihr in Kontakt traten."
