"The Italian restaurant La Locanda on Karlstern has an exciting and beautiful location. The Karlstern, an idyllic place on the banks of the Neckar in Mannheim, has a rich history, dating back to the 17th century. century back. He was created during the reign of the Pfalzgrafen Karl Ludwig and first served as a hunting area for the Kurfürliche Familie. Over the centuries, Karlstern developed into a popular recreation area for the inhabitants of Mannheim and attracted numerous visitors with its picturesque ambience and the extensive green spaces. Today, Karlstern is not only a place of relaxation, but also an important cultural centre, which regularly hosts events and festivities, and is therefore an integral part of the cultural heritage of Mannheim. As you now stand for the cultural nature of that restaurant, let yourself be put there. Nestled in the scenic surroundings of the park, La Locanda offers a welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy proper Italian cuisine. The ambience in the outdoor area can be called charming with some eye-catching and the interior is definitely cozy. Unfortunately, our service had caught a rather bad day and read us quite well. Really welcoming was not that, rather arrogant and easy to eat. The ordering process was not without friction: some ingredients were probably out and so we could not order a Caprese Salat Mozarella empty. It became particularly tragical when we wanted to order a round of aperitifs for our table: four Aperol spray. The waiter said only I have but only three aperol and we had to laugh typical Italian waiter humor. The ice was broken... Unfortunately not, because his facial expression was very serious and he also meant that: the aperol went empty. And in the end it was actually consumed and so none of us got an aperitif. The obligatory coffee at the end we had to stop after very long waiting, because then a little the pleasure passed away. Our main dishes, the Pizza Capricciosa Vegetaria and the Bruschetta, were definitely fine and could satisfy us. We enjoyed normal drinks such as cyclists, apple juice choirs and water. Unfortunately, beer is only offered in bottles and not gifted from the barrel. In the case of an Italian, however, the choice of wine counts primarily and that made quite a good impression. Maybe next time. By the way: The napkins were of good quality. Toilets Check: Localities were clean and in good condition. There's nothing to complain about. Even though the overall experience was somewhat distorted, we still had a good time and might even come back."
