La Maree Bleue - Menú

Love this place but the second we ate here it was not as good. Not sure if they were short staffed or what but it didn't seem the same. The first time the waitress was lovely and helpful and we enjoyed our moules and frites very much. The second time we both had fish, mine was a grey colour in a curry sauce, tasty fine but just looked a bit unappetising. My husband's fish was nicer. But a very nice place, we would go again.

We end up at this place most years in particularly for me the mouclade Mussels in a curry sauce. No where does anybody made it as good as they do there. The staff in pretty consistent which is nice but the lady we normally looks after us was on a different tables. (do like the new hair colour, really suits you.)The young lady who did look after us could not have been nicer.This is a good restaurant in all aspects and is well worth a visit. My wife always has fish of some sort but always finds it is well cooked and presented.

We chose this restaurant as it looked nice and the 14.80€ menu sounded like good value. We started off with the fruit de mer salad which was really a plate of lettuce with a few bits of tuna and the odd mussel on it. The waitress brought us a small basket of bread (three small slices of dry bread with huge holes in it). My husband had been hankering after Moules Frites for a while so that is what he had and he enjoyed it, I had the Merlu and frites which was ok. For dessert I had the fruit salad which was fresh fruit and nothing else. My husband had the apple cake.

We had the menu for 14,80 €, as a starter you can choose between two different salads. They are both ok. For the main dish they offer mussels and fish. Both portions were rather small, the mussels tasty, the fish very boring. For the dessert you have the choice between an apple cake and some fruits (out of a can).Within the kids menu (9,80 €, incl. a drink) you can choose mussels too. For kids the portion was really reasonable. As a dessert they offer fruits (see above) and ice cream (convenient food).The service was kind the ambience is nice, however the food not really convincing.

Our annual return speaks for itself. It is a very good family restaurant with helpful service. There is a good range of food ranging from shell fish to meats. It is all well prepared. There are set menus and al la carte so it can fit all budgets. It is always busy with holiday makers which is not a surprise as it occupies a prime site on the High Street. There is a lot of competition and so a good crowd is a good indication. It is busy with a happy atmosphere. This was our first visit with a babe in arms (my grand daughter). The staff were very helpful is seating us in a good position with ample space to move around.

We have eaten here many times over the last twenty years or so. It is a great family restaurant and we just needed the excuse of grand children to go back. It occupies a good site on the high street with the beach just at the back. The decoration is in good condition and is bright and welcoming. The staff are all attentive and helpful and our waitress spoke reasonable English, so with our passable French we muddled through.The menu is wide ranging from simple al a carte, fixed price menus and full platter de fruit de mer. It all looks delicious. I had moules et frites and then ice cream. It was a great lunch and we will try to go again before my daughter goes home.

As frequent vistors to Ronce Les Bains, we had always passed this restaurant thinking how attractive and inviting it looked, but had never frequented it. To mark a special family and friends reunion, we decided to go but what a disaster. The starters were fine. However the main courses arrived at different times so that some off us had almost finished when others had yet to start; the food was cold, the portion sizes in some cases minuscule and the steaks were 75% fat! When we approached the proprietor for a reduction in our bill he was not that interested and it took 30 minutes of heated argument to get some money back. Used to go here regularly years ago and thought we’d call in on the way back from a family trip to the zoo. We were the first to arrive and thought the service would be attentive as we were the only ones there. Wrong. The wait for each order was long and got worse as more people arrived. The youngest member of the family was happy with his galette, but the oldest was totally unimpressed with his entrecote steak which was tough and overcooked. The mussels were very small and tasteless. The salads were OK, and the desserts were probably the best of what turned out to be a disappointing experience. We were in Ronce at lunchtime one very quiet Friday in late September. Many of the shops had closed for the season and there were only a few people about. Most of the restaurants had no-one in at 12:30 but this looked the best option. Over the course of the meal it gradually filled and we were looked after well. We took two menus 'coursive', one with steak and the other salmon. The steak was tasty if a bit fatty, but ample with the fat cut off, the salmon was slightly small, though adequate, and presented in a tasty seafood sauce.
