"We had not booked a table, but got one by the skin of our teeth, ten minutes later it was packed! This is a very busy, popular restaurant, and with good reason. You can design your own 'fruits de mer' here, a great idea for those who are not fans of all shellfish. We had oysters, clams, langoustines and half a crab. It was all delicious, the oysters are not as salty here as they are a little further north on Ile de Re. The tables are very close together and we sat next to a French couple, it did feel like we were all sat at the same table, and by the end of the evening we were such good friends it was fine, all of us speaking Franglais and getting on like a house on fire! Many tables had local people sat at them, also local people came in to buy clams, bulot, oysters etc, these things speak volumes for the reputation of the restaurant. Staff were friendly and pleasant, even when they were so busy they hardly had time to breathe! It was good value for such high quality products, our bill, with wine and soup de poisson, was approx €55. Do go, and make sure you book, especially in high season."

in a city where tourists get scammed all summer, the pigtail remains a sure value; good cooking and good reception of staff; for the moment never received

the atmosphere is relaxed in this eight-storey bar and seafood is obviously fresh and excellent. A good address on the side to eat or just to drink a drink and enjoy some eightres.

very good restaurant of the cottage. unlike the disappointments you can know with those who have seen on the port, the quality is there, no need for makeup. you can also leave with some seafood purchased on site for the next meal.

We reserved a table for 4 with our 2 dogs -which wasn't an issue!I had fish soup followed by scallops. Both were excellent and very enjoyable. My partner had carpaccio of scallops followed by mussels which he also enjoyed. To finish, the four of us shared two house Tarte Tatins which were lovely and garnished with toasted almond slivers.Accompanied by decent wines and all in all a pleasant dining experience.

Many people, the tables are very close, the service is rather speedy. no menu, mainly seafood plates and trays, some à la carte dishes and suggestions of the day quite expensive. We ordered a fish fillet served with a small bowl of rice and salad on a sort of slate (one was widely dried on a corner.) at the price of 23 €, correct though a little too cooked. as to (big) part of homemade pie served with an ice ball (9 €) that we chose for dessert, it was little too caramelized! with wine and coffee the addition amounted to 85 € for 2.To you see., or not!
