"What a super evening we had! A family party of eight, including four children. A warm welcome from Cathy and her English waitress, an excellent menu that was ambitious in quality rather than quality, a good wine list and welcoming to the children. Oh, and a splendid situation looking across the yacht harbour to the church. The interior of the rest was pretty good too - spacious and quite classy - our table had a fish-bowl with two fish in it!Very good fish to eat too - I had "Pageot", which translates as (Common) Pandora - something I had never heard of. It's a reddish sea-bream, and was one of the tastiest fish I have ever eaten (and I eat a lot of fish!). The turbot was also very good, and my daughter enjoyed Steak Tartare. The kids were happy with chicken nuggets! Serving it with wild rice was a nice touch though. My starter was also exceptional - roasted figs with goat's cheese, beautifully presented. Courgette Flowers in Tempura batter was interesting too.The recommended accompanying wine (Bandol Rosé) was superb. The adults all had a Café Gourmand (taster menu) for dessert, which was great - the kids went for Ile flottante or something very chocolate-y!It was the most expensive dinner of our holiday - but also by far the best. Pity we only found it on our last night!"

We had a fish dish (complete fish), very nice eating. House wine also fine. Nice setting with view on the boats and the water. Friendly service.

There was a time when Port Grimaud had little to offer. Mostly bad, expensive Pizza places. Now the Tarzane is wonderful. Fresh delights, very friendly service, not too pricey. I'll be back!

We had a great dinner with a great view at this restaurant. The appetizers were good, The fish dishes were fresh and delicious and the staff is very nice, a place to check out if you are in the area!

Not a lot to say: Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. We have been here several times: With the family, with friends and in a larger group. The quality was always the same: Perfect, friendly, relaxed, focused. The inside is really cosy whereas the terrace is a bit "lighter".One of the rare opportunities in Port Grimaud to have dinner in style for prices well below Saint Tropez. We found this restaurant on the first evening of our first visit to the area. It's a beautiful place next to the harbour of Port Grimaud. The manager and staff are all very welcoming and the service was very good. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very good value, particularly when compared with some of the other restaurants in the area. Although we tried several other restaurants we returned to this one at the end of our stay as it was by far the best we found. I wish we'd eaten there more often! Highly recommended.

We had a really enjoyable evening with food that was well presented and thought out!The meals were well balanced in taste and gave way to real experiences on the taste buds. The crushed avocado and crab stater was a real hit for me, as was the grilled fig and goats cheese for my wife. The Filet mignon of pork with pineapple and crushed potatoes was truly scrumptious, as for the pollock with wasabi mousse, with brown rice hit all the right notes with taste texture and healthy eating.Wine choices were excellent and coffee was superb, the staff were attentive and very knowledgable of the menu, area and look after you as if you are friends.A delightful evening had by all!Try it for yourself and h...

My family and I have been renting an apartment in Pt Grimaud every summer since 2007.We always went elsewhere cause we felt it was a bit too fancy for us but some friends of ours suggested to go and we listened We enjoyed our square table outside the area under the tents where more air was circulating I started with duck liver with figs jam, kept going with a very good peppered tuna with an awesome side of rice and ended with an apple crumbleMy friends went for the cod and they loved it Also the warm heart dark chocolate souffle was appreciated All was enjoyed with two bottles of Cuvee Marion RoséOur kids did get some chicken and tuna with rice (no fries in the menu) The price was correct fo... We visited this restaurant twice during our 4 day stay we were so impressed. The setting is lovely looking out over the church and the harbour. The staff were friendly and attentive, they even managed to provide an English waitress and menu which spared my wife having to translate everything for me.Joking aside all of the staff were smiling and joking with each other which I think is a great sign of a happy business. On our first visit I had the Melon and Italian Ham which was certainly plentiful followed by the Fillet Steak in a cheese sauce. By far the best steak I've had this year. My wife had the Goats Cheese Parcels which I enviously stared at across the table and Pollock in a Chorizo Sa...

La Tartane is set in the beautiful Port Grimaud. It's nestled down a side street away from the busy square. It overlooks some of the beautiful yachts moored in the town. We visited La Tartane twice this week. The first visit was with my family including my 7 year old daughter. The second with my family & our friends (they have 2 children 7 & 6) On both occasions we had exceptional food! The menu is not extensive but I prefer that. We didn't struggle for choice (I often do as don't like fussy food) Top tip is to go for the fish (Seabass & Hake are amazing, as is the crab & avocado starter) This restaurant is expensive (approx €150 euros for 2 courses for 4) but considering the location and qu...

"Popped up to this lovely restaurant this week. First things first, if you're going to come in the summer, it's indoors so expect it to be warm and expect to need to book. Also, bring cash. On to the main info. Didier who owns the restaurant is someone my family met when we stumbled on him at a restaurant 15 years ago. Over the years, we have never missed visiting him if we can. The man is worth visiting any restaurant for alone. He is such a character and so charming. Now with his piano in his restaurant, we love to hang around later on in the evening and play/sing a bit of impromtpu jazz too.The setting is cut into the rock and this is exposed in some of the back areas of the restaurant. The walls are beset with lots of colourful and interesting pieces of art that he has gradually accumulated. Expect to be sitting close to fellow guests and on odd chairs with odd patterned china but it's all part of the fun. The food: mum, the pescatarian, loved the aubergine starter and the fish on offer. The lasagne starter was to die for and the chicken so tasty! My bf thought the chorizo on his pizza was incredible. And the lamb gorgeous too. The pain Tchinch was soooo good and a dessert fiend's best friend. A bit like a Belgian waffle. The moelleux au chocolat is always decadent. The food portions are substantial and for the 31 euros for a three course menu (which does not restrict your choices), a bargain! I didn't indulge much this week in wine but I did try Didier's and it was lovely. The upstairs: part of the roof is missing upstairs in the chill out area and it's lovely and cool. Wonderful for relaxing on the sofas/chairs for a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of the evening.Verdict: this is a lovely hidden gem set in an ancient village with more character than you can find elsewhere in the Côte d'Azur."
