Excellent combination of gourmet dishes and wine testing. The owner as an ex-mariner manages perfectly to mix culture with taste.

Off the beaten path, away from the tourist restaurants. Although a limited menu, there is an excellent selection. Very well prepared and presented... very tasty.

The service was amazing and the waiter spoke many different languages and he was very friendly. The outside doesn't look as good as it actually was!! Overall definitely worth it.

I had dinner here tonight and it was such a great experience The server and cook are sweet people that love what they do. The waiter recommended a white wine to go with the snails, it was perfect as were the snails I had the duck served with.black rice and he paired it with a Loire valley red. It was perfect. The menu changes frequently the wine selection is so good and the folks that run the place are the best part of the meal. English is no problem hereI get to the Marriott with some frequency and when I do I will return to la vie d ange. This is an outstanding place. Highly recommend Ver carta

Stumbled upon this for a late supper the first time, and told myself I'd be back looking at their wine chiller. It's a quaint little bistro, and comfortable sits a business meeting of 10, with other tables. Thierry is extremely engaging with wine, the food menu, suggestions and other conversation (his past career). Both meals I've had there were pleasing to the taste buds as the menu is refreshed. Thierry, his wife and the staff / cooks are quite a team! Point to note, I was late getting to the restaurant and they were kind enough to wait till 2230hrs! I left at midnight, and had a great conversation with Thierry.

Although this restaurant is a few steps from our hotel, we would gladly travel to have this quality meal. The owner, Thierry apologized that he did not have his full menu since the restaurant would be closed for his vacation. No apologies were necessary as everyone in our party had perfect choices, fish, chicken and lamb. We even tried the escargots!What made the meal so special was the personal attention provided. Thierry gladly explained the different kinds of snails and how the got from the snail farm to our table. He suggested perfect wine pairings and suggested the best place for crepes!We had heard (incorrectly) that the french were rude, but this was a perfect example of how false tha...

We visited La Vie D'Ange after welcoming 5 intrepid cyclists who had ridden from London to Paris to raise money for a well known childrens charity.As a current resident of Paris I was responsible for finding a convenient location for friends family and cyclists to meet.My decision was based upon the excellent reviews, and oh, how pleased all 11 were that I found this gem. Warmly received we were treated to a selection of excellent red & white wines to accompany both starters and main courses.
