very friendly personal and authentic atmosphere. basic traditional eating. have been there for lunch and dinner. cheap lunch. not really easy to eat.

on the search for a glazed restaurant we have encountered this gas house with typical regional cuisine from northern Germany and hamburg. we have eaten well, the staff is very nice and the dishes were unexpected that go beyond the usual frankfurters

I was actually on my way to another restaurant but the nice smell of food from this place caught me and I’m happy I ended up eating here instead. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy : ...the portions are very big though. I couldn’t finish my plate

We went as a family of 4 on a Wednesday evening, children are 9 and 6. Read reviews that the menu was only in German, but we were given the option to have an English menu which was much easier for the children. The food...was authentic, hot, tasty and plentiful. And the service was friendly and prompt. We had a lovely meal. Ver carta

hapimag, where we lived, has recommended us locally - and that too right. traditional North Germans feed like labskaus but also various runs. all food - also the spatula - were good and plentiful. I would like to emphasize this dessert - quar kaufenlauf mit apfel und zimt - also suitable for 2 persons as a dessert. friendly and fleeting service. also the price-performance ratio is ok.

We wanted to try the famous dish of Hamburg called Labskaus, so we decided on a restaurant called Laufauf. Labskaus is a famous Hamburg delicacy consisting of corned beef, herring, beetroot and fried egg. It is served with a side of rollmops (another type of...herring). With some nervousness we both opted for this dish. Thankfully there was nothing to worry about as the Labskaus was beautiful, it tasted similar to corned beef hash. The staff were very friendly and the price good.

In our research this was second favourite. We went to Spr.... not far away, but the boss was unhelpful; and my German is shaky too. Walked into Laufauf they spoke several langauges; they were full . But then get this dear readers they asked...a couple to move tables to squeeze us in, which was all done with smiles and laughter! Absolutely brilliant food drink, seemed authentic to us. Wonderful dark beer, tried the Labskaus (saltbeef hash? casserole, fish dishes all great. Desserts Rote Grutze. Booked to go back another day; greeted like friends, another excellent dinner. Ver carta
