"We stopped to look at the menu board in the afternoon and a friendly waitress approached us and asked if she could help translate the menu consequently we returned later that evening. By this time it was exceedingly cold, but due to the space...heaters we felt safer in the enclosed terrace. They gave us sheepskin rugs to sit on and a blanket for our legs. We ordered a wild boar burger and a hunters game casserole this turned out to be sold out and so we had game ravioli. This was our first experience of German portion sizes they were vast! However the food was delicious and very warming; I can’t remember the last time I could not finish a dish I liked, but I just could not manage it all! By this time the cold had got to us and after a quick coffee we legged it back to our hotel. It was a shame because the service was attentive and the ambiance was very pleasant. I am sure that had we been inside we would have stayed longer the cold and covid have a lot to answer for."
