Le Cafe de la Nouvelle Mairie

We went with some local family friends who said this was their favorite place and we could see why! Great local wine selection and fresh food.

An adorable place across from a small square. We sat outside and enjoyed great service, delicious small plates (we got 3 that was enough for the two of us,) and wine. The flavors were inspired making this one of the best meals we had.

while we searched the emily in paris apartment location on our last trip to paris, a downpour sent us a deceased for a nearby midday location. we are immersed in the nearby nouvelle mairie and enjoyed quiche and wein! such a nice surprise.

5th restaurant located right next to the Pantheon. The short card (on slate) goes to the essential: the dishes are well chosen and respond to all the desires. I'll give you the smoked mozzarella. Just perfect. All this accompanied by a beautiful cellar and an extremely pleasant service. one of the best spots in the 5th : to be tested very quickly.

Stopped on the way to the Pantheon for le déjeuner at the recommendation of Le Fooding. Service was very friendly, food and wine were very nice. Eggs with mustard, endive salad. Quiche was fantastic. Excellent if pricey Gamay. Was going to leave a tip for...the nice service but noted 2x boisson chaud on the bill. At 4 euros each. Didn’t feel like arguing on a 100 euro tab. Buyer beware.

My Paris birthday dinner was here and it was a very solid pick. I want to be close to our Latin Quarter Hotel but not go to one of the many tourist places in the area. Café de la Nouvelle Mairie was the right choice....Luckily we made a reservation as the place was packed with locals when we arrived. Be aware that the menu changes daily with about 3 main choices available each night. The food was excellent (pate a great starter) and the atmosphere, Parisian.

Our first night in Paris and we went to this cosy little bistro by the Pantheon recommended by the Lonely Planet. Everything was wonderful! The waiter took the time to explain/translate the menu for us, and you can get wine by the glass, carafe, or...bottle. We got the peppers, buffalo mozzarella, terrine, and both cheese plates. It gets crowded fast, so if you don’t have a booking, arrive a little before 8pm which is when the kitchen opens. It was one of my favourite Parisian bistros. Thank you!

After a stressful medical morning at the nearby curia institute, it was necessary to regain strength and morals. This was done in this establishment which quickly filled around 12:30 a.m. with a clientele of inhabitants: we took a quick lunch with tasty tomatoes (greens, yellows, reds) and Italian cheeses, fish rillettes, two original delicious and generous quiches based on zucchini and dried tomatoes, a half San-Pellegrino, a very tight squeeze and two-pressed leffee. all this for 55 €. The frame is that of a traditional bistro on the beautiful little square of the estrapade and the service is efficient.

This place was already starting to fill up at noon on a Monday, and was buzzing by the time we left. It does what it does extremely well; a small but comprehensive menu offering a decent variety of French dishes, all given a slight modern twist. My husband's terrine and roti de veau were delicious, as were the gazpacho and saucisson rôti with white peas that I ordered. We were having such a good time that we each ordered a portion of the cherry clafoutis for pudding - excellent. We shared a carafe of côte du Rhône which was really good (I'm normally a bit dubious about "natural wines", having had a few bad examples.)
