We booked for 12 people. The simple meal but with a good value for money and the waitresses are pleasant!Even though, we received a mediocre welcome to the limit of respectable by a boy behind the counter...I don't recommend it for a meal between colleagues

Lovely restaurant best in Axat for informal dining IMHO. I had the formula of the day for 13€50 which comprised three courses (as pictured) while my wife just had a 9€ main course. Good quality, good service, acceptable table wine and a fantastic view...from the terrace (also pictured) made for a good lunch with friends. Solid recommendation.

you must pass the first impression unflattering to make it inside and discover a beautiful terrace a little noisy (road) and a quiet room overlooking the river. Friendly and smiling menu, reduced to simple dishes (sauce, steak, omelette) but really delicious. fresh meat, homemade fries, a large serving and gourmet desserts. very good value quality price, smile in addition.

We arrived on the little red train and were given two options to eat in Axat. We chose to go to eat at Le Central and what a wonderful surprise we got. The food was amazing and the service exceptional. We explained we only had...a short while before we reboarded the train and our service reflected our demand, on time, super efficient and catering at ease for my gluten free allergy. I have no problem giving this restaurant a 5 star rating it actually deserves 10. Ver carta

Our friends surprised us with an opportunity for lunch so that we all chose; from personal experiences the central. It was short-term, but with its usual preference approach for its customers Jean Benoit has turned us into what proved to be a fully booked restaurant. It was an excellent meal of freshly roasted fish with chips and salad and my alternative of the best burger I had in a very long time.... perfectly cooked on my order of rare and served in a warm roasted bungalow with salad, houseries and a delicious relish. On a rainy day we decided we needed cheering up so we booked a table at Le Central. We were warmly welcomed on arrival despite us being quite late and were shown to our table which was set in a warm room. The restaurant was...mostly occupied by locals but the menu was equally as extensive as it is in the tourist season. Two of our party opted for the formula du jour at 13€ per head and two for the a la carte and both were deemed excellent quality and value for money. I chose the veloute of cauliflower and squash and it was beautifully presented and equally delicious. Our friends and we wanted to sit outside in a beautiful environment and eat good food in a welcoming atmosphere, so we chose Le Bar Central. We always enjoy our time in this restaurant, but it was even better than normal. Our appetizers of salad... of gésiers and salad of roasted goat cheese on whole grain bread were absolutely delicious. The dressing on the salad was amazing and the whole was garnished with roasted pine nuts. Two of us chose the entrecôte that was declared to be cooked for perfection and beautifully seasoned.
