Le Chateaubriand - Carta

Great place with good dishes and wines. The tasting menu is a variety of flavours. Staff is lovely but service could be better for the price...

It was overpriced for the food and for the atmosphere. We had 9 dishes, but we did not like at least 4 of them, the rest was just ok. Overrated place. Lovely staff.

Pleasant, enthusiastic staff and an interesting fixed menu comprising 3 main courses, 2 deserts and 3 amuse bouche. Whilst not overly convinced by some of the chef's decisions, it was, overall, a very enjoyable experience that kept getting better. Definitely worth a try! Ver carta

on my list for a long time I've passed the step this weekend and the result is very good. a wind of freshness in alliances. products I never thought I'd see and eat in a restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and casual. The price quality report is really at the rdv. nice service. Good night.

By accident me and my husband got a reservation into this very lovely restaurant on our honeymoon trip. Service was wonderful, menu was perfect - not too fancy but just the right way authentinc and simple. Flavors were well balanced and wine pairings were outstanding. I loved the atmosphere: restaurant was full, waiters were keeping themselves busy and everybody had a great time! Beautiful night to remember ❤️

I should have thought that being able to make a reservation for a highly rated restaurant a few days in advance of diner was a warning sign. Some of teh dishes especially what they call amuse bouche or appetizers were very good. The main dish were not as great. Deserts were mediocre, luckily my partner opted for the cheeses (which were not recommended). Not that the cheeses were great but the desert was disappointing. Si te gusta lo raro, que te den un menú de 10 pasos, con por ejemplo un pedacito (no más de 1/2 cm de diámetro) dePalta flotando en un poco de limón, o un trago de sopa de perejil fría con un poco de crema, y todo por el estilo, anda contento y vas a pagar por esto 70€ por persona más el vino. Entiendo también la gente que puede delirar con esto. Quizás ese sea el tema, no hay punto medio. La atención fue increíble, la moza era genial, súper simpática y todos eran muy buenos en su trabajo. Lo cierto es que estos 10 pasos no nos gustaron.

Intrigued by the fame of this new bistro, we decided to try it. the place is pleasant, located in a street not far from the holy martin canal. there is no menu, a single proposal of about 7 dishes to 70 euros per person. the portions are very small and unfortunately they are, in my opinion, not at all desired. We are used very ordinary dishes, sometimes almost unseenable for a final invoice of 170 euros for two. to mention only a few: a small piece of tuna with cherries (special,) from chicken to vegetables (fade, almost hospital,) a ravioli in a broth of reddish beards (completely fade too.) the only positive point is dessert, but it certainly does not justify the final addition. No amount of pretension can cover up bad food. It’s just the opposite at Le Chateaubriand, a rather pretentious name for a bistro with the food served in a buzzy setting makes you weep with joy there’s a good chef in the kitchen and helpful and excited staff in the dining room. Since the menu at Le Chateaubriand is a set menu and changes every day it’s difficult to say what’s the best part of the meal since it’s unlikely you’ll have the same meal we had. I will say every one of the five starters was a surprise and delight. The portions were small so don’t fear the numbers.
