Le Perron - Carta

The food here is amazing I think the best food I have ever had in Paris, I have been to Paris at least a dozen times.

very nice little restaurant, atypical. patron and smiling staff, pleasant, discreet. Italian gastro dishes of incredible quality. simple, very good. We loved it.

Burrata: very good, pasta with cream, mushroom and prosciutto: very good, lassagna: good as well. Only iralian wines but on the expensive side Very good service and a very nice place.

After the initial alarm that we were significantly underdressed we had an excellent time. It was very amusing that the old french couple next to us wondered allowed if we had found the place by accident, underestimating how much we could understand. Friendly service, good...food and wine.

We love French food but wanted a change of pace so we looked for a nice Italian restaurant in the 6th where we are staying in an apartment. Based on Tripadvisor reviews, we picked a few, did a walkby to see how they looked, and...picked this one. What a lovely surprise. The food was really outstanding, the service was attentive, and the room was cozy and comfortable. There was a good mix of English speakers and French speakers so I got the impression that it wasn't just a tourist spot. We shared the sauteed clams, each had one of the veal main course dishes, and shared the cannoli for dessert. Go there for a change of pace.

We made an online reservation on The Fork/La Fourchette for Tuesday, August 1. We had a nice 30 minute walk from our apartment in the 7th to Le Perron only to find it closed when we arrived. It seems they are closed for renovations or for summer break, but it is still on the site for people to make reservations. I can't believe this hasn't happened to other would-be diners. I am not sure who is to blame for this, but it should be addressed. We ended up going to another Italian place across the street which was just okay. It was the only dining disappointment of our trip. The menu looks great, and we were looking forward to dining here. Ver carta
