Le Saint Pierre - Menú

we ate here once during our stay in le crotoy they have a great choice of moule to good trips, but my wife decided to try the coquilles saint jacques a la meuniere....Missive they were overwhelmed and very easy (at over 20euro the...dish we would have expected a much better)

we came into this restaurant that just went out of another terrible restaurant when we had waited over half an hour and we had not even got a menu. they took our order immediately in this restaurant, but then we waited about 40 minutes. to actually get our moule fries that were quite tasteless and very small and the frits were overcooked. extremely poor service.

Le Crotoy is a very nice place and has some really good restaurants. We had mussels and they were really good. If you are not familiar with the different recipes you might want to stick to plain mussels nature . Service was awkward because we had...a girl on her first they. She did some strange things but she always apologized. You can 't judge a restaurant nor a girl on her first day : .

Unfortunately we were late arriving in Le Crotoy, which is a fabulous place, and at 10.05 when we got to Le Saint Pierre we were told it was too late to eat by the guy who was serving and this we accepted as all the...restaurants appeared to stop,serving at 10. However at 10.15 as we strolled back past Le Saint Pierre we were a bit surprised to see 4 people just being served with moules in the same seats we had literally just vacated as 10 due to no food bung served? Having been to Le Crotoy on several occasions, this was the first time we had eaten at Le Saint Pierre and I don't think it will be our last. It was a busy Saturday evening but they were able to accommodate our party of five...and we had a really enjoyable meal. The fruits de mer platter was excellent, as were the marmite de poissons and the paella Saint Pierre. We went for the carafe of house wine which was perfectly acceptable and they also served some lovely Leffe beers. Service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly and didn't seem to mind us moving from an outside table into the restaurant to have our desserts as it was getting chilly outside. this was our second visit this year. we went in april and the service was fair and eating well. return in august and service was appalling and food average. not like the French cuisine we have grown to love. we waited to serve. three times asked for water in French, each time ignored. 3 times asked for the bill, finally went to the cash register to pay only half the bill of someone else on ours. twice the bill was wrong, then we asked to share the bill between us and our friends with us. the waitress was terrible about my false French. everywhere I was in France, I was always encouraged to try to speak with limited French. Even the older man we believe could be the manager was not interested...

My husband and I have eaten at this fabulous seafood restaurant several times as we love the freshness and variety of their meals. I would recommend the Ficelle Picarde as a starter, a savoury pancake stuffed with cheese, mushroom and ham, as well as any...of their wonderful fish dishes. My husband always has a pot of Mussels, which are cooked in a variety of sauces, and he loves the Roquefort sauce in particular. They also offer huge seafood platters brimming with all kinds of shellfish like oysters, crab and lobster: they look very impressive and they are very popular with the French, although I am not sure the two of us could manage to get through it! Friday is market day at Le Crotoy, and although it isn't as full as it was when the July/August holidaymakers are here, it's still busy. We chose Le Saint Pierre so that we could sit in the shade and watch the market pack itself away... we might have been better off choosing a sunnier location as there was quite a chilly wind off the sea. The place was full indoors and outdoors. We both went for the 12€ for two courses set menu (13€50 for three, got to be a bargain). I had the assiette de charcuterie pâté, three or four slices of various salami etc; my wife had the fish terrine. For the main course she had escalope de dinde in a mushroom sauce with chips; I went for the moules frites. Moules...

I only discuss whether a meal was spectacular or terrible, because I think every restaurant can have a free day, but this place falls into the latter. we initially spent about 40€ in drinks because we realized that we had to wait an hour. before the food service and wanted to save our table, the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful and ended their layer. Therefore, we had taken over our order at 19.10 o'clock by new unfriendly employees and was 3rd in the waiting line. the restaurant quickly filled up to the maximum capacity within minutes of 7pm. what our eye caught was that everyone had taken their orders inside and outside and served all his food, but we had not seen our food...
