"On vacation in the area we wanted to be in a nice place for dinner far from the populated saint maxime and saint tropez. During the day the restaurant seemed to be nice so we choose The SUN for dinner in the evening. The service was excellent from the person welcoming us, the barman( as we waited 5 min for the table to get ready) and the waiter doing the meal. The decoration is really cool, very nice atmosphere, nice balance of the lights, big tables to eat at your ease. I also liked the dishes shapes. The food : there are enough selection to find something you like and really fresh. For the children there are several options and my kids really enjoyed. Dessert: we only took mousse de chocolat which was light and nice although I saw around big cups with strawberries and cream that looked "Jammy, jammy "Price : these are really on track vs what we see around in the area. I did not find it expensive and honestly we ate really good for the price.View: atonished! Full view of Saint tropez with the nufhtlights, the Yates and the sky plenty of stars. Romantic for couples , friendly aGood for families. A nice spot that I really recommend if you are on the area.PS: we were not lodging at the Prairies de la mer. Open for all Photos are dark due to the fact was in the evening and my phone is not so good"

We are here for dinner and we were not disappointed. The ambience is reality my and the food was of good quality. The restaurant is right on the beach facing saint Tropez. Overall a great venue for good food at a reasonable price.

Lovely setting, last year was more peak season when we visited so evening was lovely, slightly chillier in September as you would expect. Food and service great and although not the cheapest, such a lovely place to make you feel special. Thanks

My family and I ate out twice at Le Sun during our stay in Port Grimaud. On both occasions the food was very tasty and presented nicely. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant itself is set on the beach front and has beautiful views. Ver carta

We eat here twice during our stay. Food was glorious, can recommend Stake skewer, Tuna, and Cesar Salad. This outdoor restaurant is set a few sets from the ocean and overlooks the Bay of Saint Tropez. A little pricey for some dishes but well worth the price! Will definitely be back

We took our two children and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. It is not fine dining but there is a good choice of food to suit most people and it was decent quality. The mains were reasonably priced although the deserts were on the expensive side. The best thing though is the location - fantastic views of st tropez as the sun sets eating al fresco.

Really lovely evening meal at Le Sun watching the sun set on the beach. We didn't have starters but the mains were excellent (highly recommend the satay chicken). All of our party had the cafe gourmand dessert with coffee and selection of mini desserts which were excellent and very good value. There are large round tables for big groups but probably worth booking in high season. Ver carta

This place is right on Grimaud beach overlooking the bay of St Tropez. The view is simply stunning, especially at dusk. The staff are accommodating, friendly and attentive. We visited for an evening meal, which was v v nice, a kind of french thai fusion menu which I'm sure most people will be able to find something they want on. Its not cheap, but to be honest not many of the restaurants around here are!We visited most days after our meal for a drink, to watch the world go by and sun go down. We were always made to feel welcome and will visit them again on our next trip.

I ate here several times for dinner over the past 2 weeks with large and small parties. The restaurant is located right on the beach across the bay from St. Tropez. The views are really spectacular especially from the upper deck. The service is excellent (sometimes too fast as they are trying to turn tables over) and very efficient. The menu is typically Mediterranean with fish predominating. There are also pasta/pizza options and burgers/meat options. The food is a little above average for France and a little underseasoned for my taste. Due to the location, the food is not cheap. Starters ranged about 12-15 Euro and mains 20-30 Euro. You can access restaurant from public beach or through Le...

"Popped up to this lovely restaurant this week. First things first, if you're going to come in the summer, it's indoors so expect it to be warm and expect to need to book. Also, bring cash. On to the main info. Didier who owns the restaurant is someone my family met when we stumbled on him at a restaurant 15 years ago. Over the years, we have never missed visiting him if we can. The man is worth visiting any restaurant for alone. He is such a character and so charming. Now with his piano in his restaurant, we love to hang around later on in the evening and play/sing a bit of impromtpu jazz too.The setting is cut into the rock and this is exposed in some of the back areas of the restaurant. The walls are beset with lots of colourful and interesting pieces of art that he has gradually accumulated. Expect to be sitting close to fellow guests and on odd chairs with odd patterned china but it's all part of the fun. The food: mum, the pescatarian, loved the aubergine starter and the fish on offer. The lasagne starter was to die for and the chicken so tasty! My bf thought the chorizo on his pizza was incredible. And the lamb gorgeous too. The pain Tchinch was soooo good and a dessert fiend's best friend. A bit like a Belgian waffle. The moelleux au chocolat is always decadent. The food portions are substantial and for the 31 euros for a three course menu (which does not restrict your choices), a bargain! I didn't indulge much this week in wine but I did try Didier's and it was lovely. The upstairs: part of the roof is missing upstairs in the chill out area and it's lovely and cool. Wonderful for relaxing on the sofas/chairs for a complimentary shot of limoncello at the end of the evening.Verdict: this is a lovely hidden gem set in an ancient village with more character than you can find elsewhere in the Côte d'Azur."
