We had the last table her on a Tuesday with the 3 of us. Amazing food food and prices. Very nice staff and great ambiance.

The service, the cuisine, the atmosphere and the price are all insane. The food you get for such little price and the amount of work put into this plates are amazing. Really have nothing else to say

We got there over 30 mins late for our booked table of 10 and it had been given away due to a heavy rain shower forcing the outside guests under cover. But the mangers made a plan for us and we enjoyed an excellent meal. All the dishes were brilliant...no complaints at all! Ver carta

There is both indoor and outdoor tables. We chose the outdoor under the huge tree, and enjoyed it with the owners dog. The food was well prepared, generous servings, and artfully presented, and a great value. This is off the beaten path, but in this tiny village with lots of charm. Would certainly return.

Met up here with old friends and enjoyed a leisurely and delicious lunch which was beautifully presented and well prepared. The house wine was lovely and the service efficient and cheerful! We will be going back very soon! Hopefully we can enjoy our next lunch there under the trees in beautiful sunshine! A real treasure!

A delightful restaurant in a stunning village. We had a table outside under the trees, service was friendly and efficient. Food was very good: beef carpaccio to start, cod, and lemon tart for dessert with a mojito ice cream. Slightly busy carpaccio (sun dried tomatoes were a step too far in my opinion) but fabulous flavours. Cod was good, but I would have preferred a few simple potatoes rather than the slightly bitter polenta cake (weakest component of meal). Tart was lovely, ice cream unusual and an acquired taste.. All in all a very lovely experience and not over priced, 68€ for two (3 courses, with aperitifs and wine). Highly recommend. Ver carta

We came here last summer and had a delightful meal outside but this time the weather wasn't good and they had sensibly moved everyone indoors. It was a lovely meal and Rachel very entertaining (her English is very good) and be cause I'd forewarned her my wife is a veggie they had prepared a special main course for her.The location is wonderful,this is one of the prettiest villages in France and Wednesday means you can listen to the next day's choir rehearsing in the church. Location : Beautiful. Village is gorgeous and the restaurant is perfectly set near the river. Our table was beneath a lovely shady tree. Food: Absolutely delicious. Rack of Lamb with Walnut sauce was exquisite. Lovely presentation. Service: First rate. Owner was very welcoming and friendly...(so too owner 's dog, 'Dooky ' who took his welcoming duties very seriously! . They graciously tolerated our bad french language skills but quickly helped in english when needed. Cost: Three course dinner €24. Very reasonable given exceptional standard of food. This is one of our favourite places for lunch in France. Saint Jean de Cole is a very special place, richly deserving its listing as one of the Plus Beaux Villages de France. We have visited in the sunshine, in the rain, in Spring and...Summer. The flower festival in May is an 'unmissable ' but Les Temps des Mets is an idyllic setting and very French. Booking is certainly advisable. As this is a typical restaurant run by a hard-working couple, it 's best to leave a message and they 'll ring back. The service is excellent and the food very French : the menu varies month by month and vegetarians are certainly welcome.
