"Ive made reservation 2 weeks in advance mistakenly for 2 instead of 3. Upon arrival at the restaurant, we had to sit at the bar counter as the restaurant is fully booked and unable to make last minute arrangements. It was totally fine with us to be at the bar counter, soaking in the busy atmosphere of the restaurant. Service staffs are all very upbeat & cheery! We dont speak french and one of them came to explain the menu to us in English. It is a fixed menu restaurant, so you dont get to choose what to eat. However, i must say each dish was simply marvellous. We had zucchini soup (served in a pot for sharing) that was light, frothy, and tasty. It was served together with individual soup bowls filled with bacon bits, vegetables and topped with sour cream. It has a very delicate taste! Then we had some roast with potatoes, prunes, apricots (i think)and carrots. It was beautifully cooked, soft and flavourful! The sauce was great with the mash potatoes!By now, we were all very full. But the next dish Cheese was a good tasting portion. Not too much and was paired nicely with hot pepper flakes, apricot jam. Another spot on! My parents who never really enjoy panna cotta, emptied their portion of fresh mango panna cotta and wouldn't mind a second helping (if any)! All in all, this is one of our best dining experience in Paris. Affordable and great food!!!! Just need to ensure reservations are made in advance!!!"

It's a shame that neither tripadvisor nor the Les Papilles site advise that it is actually closed for summer. A long walk for nothing.

I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the meal. The staff are very friendly and take the time to explain the menu for the evening as well as recommending a fine wine to pair with the meal. Reservations are a must here.

We had no reservation (not recommended) yet they found a table for us as service is better than you expect for a PACKED very popular Paris restaurant. Great atmosphere. Best and most creative food I've had in Europe, after 10 European trips. I speak only English and very little French & when the chef (Tom, a real gentleman) asked me in English for my opinion, I honestly said I knew not enough words in my native language to describe our truly fantastic meal.

Genuine and well executed dishes, the type of restaurant without a long list of dishes but what is there is very well made . I had the lunch menu which was a perfectly cooked duck breast in a honey and thyme gravy (I would guess slowly cooked sous vide then roasted ?) then a mango pannacota ...obvioulsy with real mango. Wine list is just amazing so no need to go for something mad just get a basic bottle and it will probably be much better than any mid range one somewhere else. The decor is a warm bistro type , the service is fast and efficient . The one who looked like in charge of the place take his time to explain the different dishes and options and is always looking around to see if peop...

Had a fantastic meal here. It was really hot on the day, so the meal was designed around the weather and daily market produce. We had a great welcome by Bernard who explained the fixed menu and indicated that you could select your wine from the large range on display along the wall. We went with Bernard's wine recommendation which proved to be a great choice.First course was a delightful cold pea soup which you ladles into individual bowls of fresh items such as radish, bacon, cream etc. It was exquisite and a wonderful start.Second course were slow cooked lamb shanks coated in mint and spices and complimented by slow cooked vegetables. Yummy!Third course was a lovely soft cheese with chilli...

we had reserved for dinner and had a nice evening. The bistro was filled, nevertheless the service was good and attentive. The menu is fixed, so there can be nothing chosen except the wee for the evening. You have to admit, even if there is a risk that you get a walk that doesn't allow you. on the other hand, you might get to know new things that you might never have chosen from the card. The food was excellent, even if we had one that didn't say a hundred percent to us.The appetizer, carrot soup, was excellent. the teller came filled with a carrot salad, bacon and other ingredients (see photo), the suppe came in the terrine separately and can itself be dosed. As a lead, there was no baby potato...

we arrived without reservation and without knowing the setting of the place. the reception was " franc" and effective: they explained to us in a few words that the menu is fixed, four dishes decided by the chef on the basis of the shopping made at the market in the morning, and that one could choose the wine of the wide range displayed in the restaurant. the spaces are limited, as in all the places where we dine to betting, so we practically shared the table with a couple of New Yorkers on a wedding trip (and that of space, on a negative side, turned into a pleasantly aggregated aspect) the chain of the four dishes was appreciated for the quality of the cuisine and the raw materials used: we...
