L'Etoile Philante - Carta

Délicieuse. It has been the best choice we could have to enjoy simple french cuisine cooked at a very good level. Outstanding service to really fullfill our demands. We enjoyed it very much.

Crabe starter,just wonderful.All crab. Souris of lamb with a garlic side sauce.Beautifully presented,very tasty. Very kind waiter,and met the woman chef.Lovely people. Merci for hospitality.Will return.

Absolutely charming! This was our second visit and the hosts remembered us from a year earlier! This is a delightful restaurant that exudes friendliness and excellent food! The menu changes every day or so with inventive, delightful choices.

The only negative is that the small room resonates which makes conversation a bit difficult. There was a table of 8 when we went so that may be the reason. The food was top quality and original and the wine list excellent. A good Medoc for €25. Attentive, very friendly service!

This resturant was a great find. It is very close to the Courtyard Marriot in Billingcourt. The chef came out and explained the menu in English to us. She was pleasant and so was her husband. The food was french and extremely good. The chocolate dessert was too die for. I would definitely go again. Ver carta

A truly French experience (I was the only foreign) in a not-pretentious environment. Food was great from beginning to end, even though I'm not a fan of polenta they made me change my opinion about it. My order toke a bit longer than expected and they kindly offered me a complimentary drink to make up for it, and in fact they didn't need to, the wait was totally worthy. I totally see that they do it for a good cause as you can see the passion that they print on the food and service. One of my best experiences in this trip :)

What a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The proprietress was warm and simply a delight. As others have said, the restaurant contributes profits to a different charity which she selects each three months. There is a daily special (we had a terrific salmon tartare) a wonderful crab entree (appetizer) which I recommend highly, and a choice of light and tasty deserts. On the second visit, we were remembered and the proprietress put together a vegetarian plate for my wife and served us each a lovely rose'. If we had been in Paris longer I would be able to recommend even more dishes but unfortunately we left the day after our second visit. We will return.

Following a huge lunch earlier in the day, I went for a Saturday evening walk, and was surprised to notice several restaurants were not open. Then I noticed l'Étoile Philante - it looked so cozy I felt the urge to go in. It was quite busy but the helpful waiter found me a table, and suggested that the lady proprietor should come to attend to me, as she spoke better English (although his seemed very good)!. I explained that I was not so hungry, and she was very helpful, suggesting that I skip having a starter and move straight on to a main. She recommended A risotto with fresh peas, courgettes, asparagus, and prosciutto. It was truly wonderful! Absolutely delicious accompanied by a glass of C... Ver carta
