"we were on a Viking cruise in Germany and our bus stopped in potsdam on the way to the ship docked in wittenberg. we had minutes and it was lunchtime. the cruise director did not recommend. we saw each other, a few possibilities and as decided to try lewy wein. we were greeted by the friendly waiter who quickly realized that we were American and presented us with their English menu. our orders were just suppe and salat. the tomaten soup was excellent as salate. the waiter knew we had a bus to catch and serve us as soon as possible. beautiful atmosphere small and picturesque. also was their background music and rock and roll."

great place: beautiful personal, great eating, interesting wine selection has a special “French” feeling for it: more relaxed enjoyment. get the cinema chairs at the shopfront: they will never want to get up.

The location is great. Cafe is facing a walking street and has a nice outside setting. It was crowded, so we had to wait for table. The menu was in English and as for cafe it had a good selection of dishes. The service was...excellent. Can recommend this place.

Dropped in here by chance whilst in Potsdam and we were so happy we did. The staff were lovely and we ordered a couple of fabulous platters to accompany delicious wine. Nestled in the heart of the Potsdam Christmas market this really was a wonderful...find. Could not recommend it more!!

A full day in Potsdam is combined with a lot of walking so a small break to eat and drink something is a MUST. We picked randomly this small cafe. Nice and warm place which will get full. A big variety of wine and a...smaller of tea and non alcoholic beverages. There are a few options for the small appetite as well. Prices are pretty high so be careful if you don't want to exceed your budget.

This is a pleasant location just around the corner from the main restaurant strip, so you can people watch without being in the thick of it. We stopped here for a beer and light food and found both satisfying if not special. What made it...a very good rating was the charm and friendliness of the wonderful waiter we had, who gave us so much attention and good conversation. A great relaxing stop after an exhausting day seeing the spectacular Potsdam sights.
