The Brie and bacon toastie was exceptional. Very good service. Clean and great layout. Would recommend. Covid safe and good value for money

beautiful coffee, personal and cake....what more is there to say inside is beautiful and spacious with tables outside. takeaway works well and the beach is just around the corner.

A great little find, we stopped for a coffee and stayed for lunch. Great service, fabulous toasted sandwiches especially the Brie bacon, the potato salad side dish was an unexpected delight.

Great to see The Loaf fully back to service and providing the excellent cakes, bagels, salads etc that have made it a Sandgate ‘must’ over tge by last few years. One small gripe the little pots of growing herbs that used to grace the...tables have been replaced with horrible imitation plastic plants. Please get rid of them !!

Loaf has become one of our regular spots for coffee. It is a delightful little cafe offering bespoke coffee, artisan sandwiches, salads and a great selection of homemade cakes. The specials board changes regularly and the quality of the food and the service is always...great. Highly recommended as a pit stop after a walk by the sea!

A warm welcome and not too busy at 9:30am so easy to find a comfortable table. Excellent quality coffee, delicious selection of cakes but we decided to eat from the breakfast menu. Most dishes are based on sourdough and as well as vegan and other...healthy topping options you can add bacon , eggs etc if that's your preference. I went for a Spanish style smashed avocado with bean mush, doesn't sound appetising but it was really tasty and provided a good bedrock for the onward walk to Hythe.

we went to lunch about the strength of the comments on trip advisor. we had roasted brie and speck sandwiches 6.50each, which came with a side kartoffel salad. the sandwiches took a little to get on but were hot, well prepared and edible. the loaf down is the shady environment. the huge front window looks in the necessity of cleaning and the chairs and tables seem good past their sale until today with absolutely no coordination. Maybe some would say that this gives the loaf rustic charm, but it is not for us. the cakes look beautiful, but in my own sight the dinges are somewhat overpriced. a little more love to detail could move the loaf from very good to excellent. ps that customers come wi...

I found loaf by chance when I looked around sandgate and was pleasantly surprised what they had to offer. when I was against the clock, I only stayed for a tasse earl grey and a roasted sandwich that was very pleasant. there were many...of others dingen on a large menu, but unfortunately there is very little that they can do in twenty or so minutes. from eating was the actual caffe very interesting with many of the original features that I also sat at a window seat, I could study an unusual flat dachgarage opposite. if I am next in sandgate with jane, we will certainly visit loaf, since jane is a vegan / vegetarian and although I did not scan the menu there seemed to be a series of tasty opt...

not happy! I'm here. it was served and paid. gluten-free toast 2 slices with stirrup and smoked salmon. it came over, the ice was cold and the salate had a sauce. Gluten intolerance, I just wanted to. to avoid the salat as the dame that serves us, put the plate down and went away before I could ask any. Anyway, just started eating and noticed a hair. I went to the recipe that lady took my teller and said I'm sorry. came back and told me that her balsamico sauce does not contain gluten. that's good, but still they made me a new lunch because of the haare in my food. the dame came by with my lunch break, put the plate in front of me and run quickly again. no salt, no pfeffer, and no one to ask...
