Magaly, the friendly receptionist at the Best Western Premier Vieux Port hotel recommended L'Oustaou for a late night meal, suggesting we try their calemars (squid). We were so glad we took her advice, as the family that has operated the eatery for 25 years was...quite friendly and the food was delicious. Especially recommended if you love garlic!

had a nice Christmas dinner here, no reservation required. hubby had the filet de boeuf with a foie grass sauce and I had the safran risotto with a jumbo prawn and cranfish. we loved the lachs gravur and champagne-sabayon oysters. the service was good. and enough English for us to enjoy a good meal. If we're cold outside, we can get in. recommend them for lunch.
