"A year ago we were in Hambel's restaurant in Wachenheim for the first time. Since we had the visit in very good memory and we now know the Saumagen, we can even say that we are back. It was a surprise from our friends, because Klaus Hambel gave a brief and interesting introduction to the production of Saumagen in the entrance area of his restaurant to the butcher shop. Admittedly, do not stumble via the word, but if you eat it, you like it. Mr. Hampel welcomed the 12 participants with a glass of champagne, of course from the basement of the neighboring city Wachenheim. And then it started. We now know everything (almost) about the production of the Saumagen. Mr. Hampel is a specialist in production and now has several flavors in his offer, which is even exported to Taiwan. I have already said to the report on the restaurant that Saumagen's acquaintance is due to the Palatinate Helmut Kohl. In Deidesheim, Deidesheimer Hof, by Starkochs, the Saumagen by Klaus Hambel, many public guests were presented. Mr. Hambel always solves his conversation with nice anecdotes about Helmut Kohl and other celebrities. It also explains from which meat parts and other ingredients the filling is made and which spices are used. How long and at what temperatures the stomachs are boiled. In the meantime, a fresh, warm classic soap is brought out of the kitchen and personalized by the boss. It tastes great on a bungalow. As further samples we receive a piece of soap with truffles and soaps with sheep cheese and chili. You can buy other varieties in butcher shop such as soaps with plums or with green pepper or with chestnuts (cheese as the plum says) or placed in rum for the cold season with apples and plums. It was a nice interesting hour. Then there was a door to the restaurant where we could enjoy the Palatinate cuisine. Interestingly, the big cook, no bowls and no swimmers; no swamp that understands his craft excellently. The project will always take place on Friday at 11 a.m. But who wants to ask for the dates. This year was the last date on 18.11. The Palatinate Saumagen is absolutely recommended. I have eaten it only 4-5 years after I have met the quality and taste and I am completely convinced. You just have to try the Saumagen."

"Wir sind immer wieder und sehr gerne Gäste in diesem netten kleinen Lokal.Leckere Pizzagerichte und Pasta-Variationen in einer ehemaligen Tankstelle die zu einem kleinen Restaurant umgebaut ist. Supernettes Personal - eben italienisch und authentisch.Holservice klappt perfekt, nach telefonischer Bestellung wird recht exakt die Zeit bis zur Fertigstellung mitgeteilt. Darauf kann man sich verlassen. Favorit: Pizza Pedro oder Rigatoni al Forno. Die Nudelgerichte werden einzeln frisch hergestellt und im Ofen überbacken, so soll es sein. Frische Zutaten auch auf den Pizzen, gerade bei den Pilzen ist das entscheidend. Absolute Empfehlung sowohl zum Essen vor Ort als auch als Hol und Bringdienst."

"Das Restaurant ist klein, aber fein. (Tischreservierung empfohlen) Das Essen ist sehr lecker, die Portionen ordentlich und man kann in die Küche hineinschauen was einen Pluspunkt gibt. Einen Punkt ziehe ich wegen der Menge an Knoblauch die an den Speisen ist ab. Ich esse Knoblauch sehr, sehr gerne aber es könnte an den Speisen ein Mü weniger dran sein, es war für meinen Geschmack zuviel. Einen weiteren Punkt ziehe ich ab, da die Art der Speisekarte zwar originell ist, aber die Karten extrem abgegriffen sind. Da wären dringend neue fällig. Ansonsten alles in Ordnung, Service und Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmen."

"Wenn ich die Rezensionen lese kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, das dies das gleiche Restaurant ist. Mit meiner Frau war ich heute Mittag dort und wollte -auch wegen vieler Unverträglichkeiten meiner Frau- dort essen. Es saß niemand dort, was ich nun auch verstehe. Wir wollten etwas essen, aber doch wenigstens in eine Karte zur Orientierung schauen. Der Chef (alle anderen kuschten vor Ihm, daher die Einschätzung) sagte 'Ich berate Sie doch', konnte aber bereits bei den Getränken eben nicht sagen, welche Zuckerzusatz hätten und welche nicht. Eine Karte hätte geholfen. Auch hätten wir gerne, ohne den mentalen Druck eines wartenden Kellners, in Ruhe das Angebot studiert und auch die Preise dazu gesehen. Alles Fehlanzeige! Statt uns zu helfen wird der Mann immer aggressiver und sagt, dass er eben toller, anders besser sei. Das nützt uns wenig und Service stelle ich mir anders vor! Nach etlichen Hin und her (und wir wurden im Gegensatz zum Kellner nicht aggressiv) haben wir das Lokal verlassen, ohne negative Bemerkungen zu machen, da dies nicht unser Niveau ist. Wir hatten bei Recherche im Netz das Lokal gefunden und freuten uns auf das Ausprobieren. Die Vorfreude war das einzig positive. Wir kommen nicht wieder!"

"on Thursday we visited again the restaurant to the römer in bad dürkheim. we had done some good food again. the Roman was an excellent address for me. they are known for tasty, good eating. so also there. but from the first impression - the courtesy and friendliness - where did they stay? the dining room and outdoor area (tables and chairs) was not much visited. a small number of guests. in the room I've been inquired, let's sit outside. short and short, yes, what do you have in the offer. is standing outside on the screen. again short and short. we had starving, was lunchtime. after filling out the guest list (covid 19,) we stayed the menu. the offer was as always good. we decided for zander. as a drink, coffee and water medium. the zander was delicious. around well, as always. zander auf hirsebett, cuts and the cream sauce- delicious! the weather has played, sitting in the outside area, was pleasant. that, as always, good food, has made me feel a little more reconcilable. but unfortunately the friendliness, has the covid fallen for sacrifice? the restaurant is also suitable for disabled people. but toilets will look hot. a staircase must be managed in the cellar spaces. with wheelchair difficult. toilets are perfectly clean. even a wrap table for the smallest gast,is available. only a pity, the friendliness - even in these particulars it is possible. Despite all the zander was good!"
