Maiensee Stuben - Menú

We did not stay here, but every day my wife and I enjoyed a beer outside over looking the nursery slopes before a swim and dinner in our hotel opposite. The staff were Austrian and very polite. It is a very pleasant location to watch the world go by.

I'm went to Maiensee for a cup of coffee because I despise the one size fits al concepts of restaurants with big terraces. I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy little terrace with sheepskins on the chairs And the attention to the customer by the staff

This was the worse coffee served to me since I have been travelling around Europe. It actually shocked me how bad it was and for €4 to boot! It's a beautiful restaurant and perfectly well served for Germans as they were the only clientele other...than myself.

Vornehmes erstklassisches Restaurant mit sehr gutem Service.Ausgezeichneter Weinauswahl und Beratung.Eigentlich wollte die Familie nur Schnitzel essen, entschied sich auf Kinderwunsch dann zu Käsefondue, was inclusive Vorspeise und aller Zutaten das Beste war,was wir jemals bekommen haben.Gerade dies hat uns nach Jahrzehnte langer Erfahrung mit schweizer Küche beeindruckt.Sehr empfehlenswertes Restaurant.

Upon arrival we were greeted nicely by our waiter who took us to our table. The rest of the room was completely empty which meant the room lacked atmosphere. I had pizza and it was huge. However it was very nice and the ingredients were...fresh. The staff were very good and checked on us regularly in our room of silence. I was too stuffed to have pudding so I'll have to come back and try it next year. The position of the restaurant is extremely convenient as it can be got to right from the slopes. Great meal!

We were staying at the Sport hotel during January and decided that on our evening off we would try this hotel. We have been to many top Austrian and Swiss hotels to name but a few the Edelweiss in Obergurgl and Belvedere in Grindelwald. The...Chateux lake Louise in Canada so we know what a top hotel is and how it treats its guests. We booked for a fondue in the Stube were there was suppose to be a log fire. We have had many fondues all over Europe and this one was very different.Instead of a light oil they used a broth so the meat was not gently cooked but more stewed. Hello, I was with a group for a pre-booked dinner. we had a choice of pizza or carving. we sat in a room away from the main restaurant, whose entrance appeared like the door to a french. it was clear. the cheap seats. the waiter came with a hand held computer to take a beverage order, followed by a girl in Austrian dress. After the man had ordered the drinks, the girl was sent to get it. I think that was clearly a lustful part of the sexist hierarchical organization and it made me angry. I was very thirsty and asked for a crippled water. imagine our shock, a charge of almost €3.00 for a container of approx. 750ml tap water to transport. the religious waiter has drunk on our table, which was...

Wir sind zum X-Mal zum "Zwischenstopp" in die Maiensee Stuben gegangen, auf dem Heimweg- Abends. Am Anfang hieß es man hätte keine Plätze mehr und als wir schon gehen wollten, hatte es auf einmal doch noch Plätze (tatsächlich zwei freie Tische). Wegen den Kindern sind wir geblieben. Es gab am Abend Bauern-Buffet, nur leider hatten unsere Kinder keine Lust bzw. Appetit und so hatte unser Sohn eine halbe Suppe (Brühe) und unsere Tochter nur ein paar Nudeln mit Soße. Das Essen/ Buffet war sehr reichhaltig, ausgewogen und lecker. We were booked here on the Thursday evening of our stay, when the hotel at which we were staying had their staff night off. It wasn't our first choice but as the restaurant we originally sought had no availability, this was next choice.We arrived early to have a drink before the meal. The restaurant is part of the hotel of the same name. The seating area is all inside and extends back a long way so can accommodate a lot of diners. The decor is the usual bare wood but very attractive nevertheless. The drinks came as something of a surprise. Not just the prices but how they are served.
