Lovely staff, food is fabulous. Ladies toilets need work, one with no lock and neither have hooks on the doors. Need some maintenance

Just had a beautiful carvery here. Plenty of fresh veg and well cooked Pork, very enjoyable and reasonably priced. Very busy, so I am guessing lots of other visitors enjoy eating there!!!

The service at this restaurant was excellent, with a friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. A big thank you to all the staff who made my mum's day so special. We couldn't appreciate them more. Thank you. Ver carta

We have been coming here for quite some years and the food is delicious, becky has looked after us for a long time always been amiable and we recently had my dads funeral here where once again she was so accommodating. Happy to see braised steak back on the menu !!

I was horrified by the dirty and unclean environment of this restaurant. The coffee menus, bar, tables, entrance, and toilets were all filthy. The only beer available was Coors, as they were having a clearance sale. Despite there being only three customers in the pub, the staff were just standing around at the top, not doing much. Overall, it was a disappointing experience after being a regular patron for some time.

Came Monday 12th feb for lunch, we haven’t been in a while was lovely but I do have one complaint, young girl was working and the music was dreadful A lot of older people in and the music was very loud dance music I think she was playing songs that she liked not what the customers like. In this kind of pub you don’t expect that kind of music so please switch back to 70s and 80s. My mum is 81 and she was struggling to hear me speaking. Ver carta

My Mother's Day meal was ruined! I drove down from Leeds to treat my 85 year old mother to a rare family meal, but our experience was disappointing. The restaurant had crammed in too many tables, turned off the heating, and placed us at table 3 where there was constant traffic. We were constantly bumped into, the noise level was high, and the door opening and closing made us very cold. Our food also got cold quickly, and we ultimately left because it was too cold. We have been dining at this restaurant for over 30 years, and my parents even met here over 60 years ago. When I complained to the manageress, she showed no concern. It is unfortunate that they have lost over 50 years of loyal cust...

Called on Sunday the 3rd of February with my wife to have Sunday lunch and I've never been so disappointed! It started off great as I was shown to my table by a Cheerful waitress but unfortunately it went downhill from there!! I went to the bar and got met with a grumpy barmaid who clearly didn't want to be there. I then purchased my Carvery tickets and my drinks and went to queue for my meal and waited what seemed like an awfully long time as the man behind the Carvery had long conversations with all and sundrie (no sign of the jolly fat bearded bloke who normally carves) . The veg was OK but the cauliflower cheese had no favour to the sauce and to be honest I don't think the chef knows how...

Booked for dinner at 1830 on Friday, mid December. Bar was busy restaurant 70% full. Served a menu and drinks promptly. We later found out that Christmas menu was available but wasnt offered to us. The place was warm, with a lit open fire. Christmas decorations were poor. Ordered dishes including Scampy, fish and salads. They arrived promptly and it tasted very nice, but had no tartare sauce nor salad cream (Didnt tell us before we ordered). Plates were cleared afterwards, and with only one other table occupied we were abandoned. I called the waitress after serving the other table and she replied without making any eye contact or intention of coming over. She replied they only had 2 choices... Ver carta
