".......Where do I begin with this place...?! It used to be a nice restaurant. Then it closed down and reopened, most likely under new ownership. One can only assume vastly over budged giving the ridiculous prices for pizza and burgers. For example, a Penny Arabiata was 22€!!! That must cost all but 80 cents to produce at a push maybe 1€! I opted to have a 26€ burger. If you aspiring to become a hopeless chef and would like to learn how to ruin a perfectly good piece of meat save up 26€ and try one of their burgers! No seasoning. The cheese was completely wrong and tasteless, there wasn't an onion insight, no pickle - instead they chose to put dump spinach in it! Ask for a bottle of "flavor" when you ordering one. The chips were nice but there was no salad garnish, nothing. The love of my life chose to have an even more expensive seafood pasta - I don't know what sea they were talking about but there was no seafood to be seen in it beside shells and two clearly frozen prawns. Whilst the sauce was actually very tasty, the pasta was cooked al-Dente which, personally, I think, one should be asked if you prefer it al-Dente or not. The good things about the restaurant are as follows:1. service 2. leavingSo, to conclude, 26€ for a burger, 33€ for a seafood-less pasta, €8 for a glass of wine and water I left 80€ poorer and hungry. But in all fairness the waitress seems to be very nice and attentive but I'm not going back. Ever. Full stop. End."

Marcellino Food was okay, service also. Prices quite high but that's this village. Service was okay.

So after spending 2 weeks in the St. Trope and eating pretty much out every day I would definitely recommend the Marcellino!! Went there several times and my food was always delicious! Would recommend to try Truffle gnocchi... omg it's just superb!! Was very pleased with a service. Staff could easily speak in English and were very pleasant and friendly!! And of course you can enjoy the beautiful view on the port!!

Look, if you are going to eat in front of the big boats then expect the charges to be more than your local high st. Changed hands recently but certainly recognised some previous staff - a great location for a meet up with mates over informal dining. It's expensive but not that expensive given the rates I expect they have to pay. Anyway the food was reliable, I had a warmed mini Camembert to start, gnocchi truffle main and cafe gourmand for dessert with red Italian wine all round. Price approx €80I didn't have the lamb but a friend did and I will be trying that next Ver carta

We popped over to St Tropez from Ste Maxime just in time for lunch. We normally avoid the restaurants on the harbour front as they can be very expensive but this one is a gem. The restaurant was busy but they found a great table for us p my only criticism is that they didn't have a high chair for our grandson but they did make room for his pushchair. The food was really lovely and we shared some smashing wine. The service was friendly and efficient - my french is not great but one of the waitresses spoke good english and we had a chat about the similarities and differences of living in France and England. Looking forward to a return visit in September.

We arrived by car to Saint-Tropez, and were hungry. So we went down to the harbour for dinner. First we saw all the huge yachts, which is an amazing sight on this time of the year. We wanted to find a nice place with good view and AC, and fortunately we found Trattoria Marcellino. The location is incredible, and you can watch the yachts and yacht-watchers from a very close distance! We were so happy to feel the very warm and down-to-earth service in this restaurant. We relaxed and were ready to eat! After soft drinks and an Aperol Spritz, we enjoyed Moules Frites and Pasta Capri. Food was very good, and the atmosphere very good early in the evening!Total bill for the four of us was 95,60 Euros

"we had the 5 course menu, 1 normal, 1 vegetarian. the vegetarian was good but not up to the standard we experienced in similar establishments and not on the level of the non-vegetarian. waiters also did not mention it. it was just a small part on the bottom of the menu. we felt that's also about the appreciation it got from the chef. in our opinion, if u offer a vegetarian menu, it must be on an equal level as the rest of the menu. it wasn't (seems as if les légumes alone just are not much of an inspiration to the chef which clearly reflected in the courses). it wasn't bad but from a 3 star restaurant I expect fireworks even without meat; especially if the theme is provénce. the normal 5 course menu was good but the overuse of grapefruit started to annoy me after the second time 4 or so slices were used on my dish as it was way too sour, clearly overshadowing the other flavors and the note of sour even persisted through the coursesafter the palette refreshener which also contained some lemon notes came the dessert (kind of lemon tart) which was so sour that we both could not finish it. it was like a punch in the face after such perfectly and tastefully balanced 4 previous courses that explored familiar and unfamiliar flavor profiles and combinations (on a deserved 3 star level in my opinion - even though I missed obvious associations to la provénce). the rest of the desserts (which seemed to make up of 30%+ of the overall food volume; no idea why such an emphasis on sweet/sour for just a 5 course meal) couldn't help and were clearly on a much lower level as the rest of the food which was very disappointing to us. also, to be honest, lemon notes belong more to Italy than to the provence (google oops I dropped the lemon tart). all in all a mixed experience which started strong and gradually worsened. A bite into a lemon or grapefruit would have given me a purer taste of la provence if i wanted to explore the perfect sour note. service was excellent, excited and friendly. wine pairing good."
