"This place is truly a hidden gem. It's quirky and charming, with an extensive menu that has something for everyone. The food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful. We started with the sticky chicken pudding, which may be the best I've ever had, along with the black pudding and haggis fritters, which were fantastic. For main courses, I had the gnocchi with spinach, while my mother enjoyed the chicken, leek, and mushroom cake, which was amazing. For dessert, we shared the tablet bakery sundae, featuring chocolate brownie, caramel shortcake, and flapjack – absolutely delicious! I can't wait to return and try more of the menu. I highly recommend this place, and it's also dog-friendly!"

"I recently visited this restaurant with some friends who are omnivores and opted for the vegan set menu. I was genuinely impressed by both the quantity and quality of the food. The portion was comparable to the omnivore platters, and it was clear that each dish was thoughtfully prepared with attention to presentation and flavor. Some standout dishes for me included a delicious mushroom and tomato salad, a flavorful beetroot salad, and a chargrilled skewer featuring vegan chorizo and a variety of vegetables. I truly felt like I received great value for my money, and the vegan options didn't feel like an afterthought like they often do at other places!"

"For our appetizers, we both ordered the scallops. They were large, beautifully presented, and incredibly delicious. I chose the red deer for my main course, which was juicy and tender, while my wife had the beef, which was equally delightful. For dessert, we indulged in the apricot frangipani tart and chocolate mousse—both were exceptional. Overall, we had a fantastic meal at a reasonable price. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the selection and quality of wines by the glass. If you find yourself near Dundee, definitely book a table here and treat yourself to a wonderful dining experience!"

"We stopped at this restaurant on our way back from a trip to Carnoustie to pick up some takeaway pies for dinner at home. The pies we had, bhuna and macaroni cheese with pickles, were delicious. While a bit pricey, we appreciated that they use homemade products and quality ingredients. The rest of the menu also looked promising. The restaurant is in an unusual location, but it is simple both inside and out. It may be small, but it is very clean and tidy. We were served promptly, but had to wait 15 minutes for our takeaway coffee, which felt like a long time. Unfortunately, there were no vegan options available for one of the people in our group, which was disappointing as he couldn't eat alongside his family. It's hard to gauge the demand for vegan food. Overall, I don't think it's worth traveling from Glasgow specifically for this restaurant, but it's a good choice if you happen to be passing by."
