The setting and Brewhouse excellent but we only wanted a beer and it was like being in a desert. waitresses only bothered about people wanting food so this spoiled the visit

This is the perfect refueling stop while biking on the Lahn and Rhein Rivers, just south of Koblenz near Lahnstein. They have excellent beer -- check for the seasonal brews -- and a range of traditional foods from Schnitzel to Mediterranean vegetables.

An einem Regentag konnten wir leider den großen Biergarten mit Blick auf den Rhein nicht geniessen. Das Essen war schmackhaft, die Portionen groß. Wir waren in der Nähe auf einem Stellplatz. Meine Schwester die das Maximilians kennt hat es uns empfohlen. Wir sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Es ist ein nettes Brauhaus so wie ich es von Köln kenne.Auf der Speisekarte war für Jeden etwas dabei. Das Essen war wirklich gut und auch die Bedienung sehr freundlich.Wer in der Gegend ist sollte dort einkehren

Hallo,nach beenderter Wanderung, sind wir zum Abschluß ins Maximilians Brauwiesen gegangen. Dem köstlichen Essen mit dem frisch gebrauten Maibock haben wir es zu verdanken, dass wir erst sehr sehr spät die Heimreise antraten.Der Service war prima. Das ganze Maximilian ist eine tolle Erfahrung, tolles ambiente.Kann nur jedem empfehlen dort mal ein Päuschen einzulegen.

Maximilian's can accommodate some 1500 people if you take into account the seating both inside and out so getting a table isn't usually a problem. Despite the size of the place the service was fast and friendly, with English menus available. The food we found to be very good as was the beer, especially the alcohol free pils on tap. The atmosphere was terrific and you can watch the river traffic on the Rhine as you feast on pork knuckle. Ver carta

Everything is top notch at this fine establishment. The delicious German food (which ironically sounds like an oxymoron but it's a fact at Maximilian's), friendly, attentive and prompt service, and the buzzing lovely ambiance all contribute to the success of this place. I first visited Maximilian's in 2005. This place has not only improved but excelled in everything. I'm sure to visit Maximilian's Brauwiesen in the future and I recommend it to everyone looking to taste rare delicious German food. 5/5

Foreigners beware!!! The worst service in Europe!!! No hospitality only hostility from the server!!! Was there for a business dinner, it's a popular place with the locals but I don't think they like foreigner as the English speaking colleagues, who were visiting Germany were told to learn German if they want to order food! The waiter who was serving us started arguing with a German colleague. The service was the worst, the food was ok at best. Although nothing was said to me personally, the waiter was trying his best to teach us how to be better guests! Which was a new experience for me but I wouldn't advice anyone to go there. Het eten was lekker. Op het einde duurde het wat langer voor we onze laatste koffie kregen. Toen die op was, wilden we graag betalen en vertrekken. We vroegen toen de rekening en toen mijn vriend terug was van de toilet, liepen we naar de betaalbalie waar we, na een tijd wachten, bij een andere ober konden betalen. Toen we van de parkeerplaats wilden rijden kwam onze ober schreeuwend het terrein op dat we niet hadden betaald. Iedereen keek ons aan alsof we dieven waren. We lieten ons bonnetje zien en gaven aan bij zijn collega te hebben betaald. Hierna zei hij zacht sorry en liep hij weg, maar de rest van de aanwezigen bleef ons aankijken alsof we dieven waren en andere gasten lieten ons nie... Ver carta
