"Absolutely shocking. We entered the pub after a long journey with full family 3 young children) and our dog. The staff a lady) didn’t look happy we had entered her establishment , but invited us to sit in the dog friendly food area and get settled. When we went to order drinks and ask for a menu, we was then told they could not serve us food due to a large order. I run a large business in the area and I would be not happy turning away people. We then headed to Hope and Anchor who couldn’t have been more welcoming not just with the children but with the dog too, food bowls and water provided on arrival. I won’t be returning to this place and will certainly be letting my circle of friends and family know"

"Went for the first time the other evening with friends for the one that is not a pasta lover and can't eat pizza due to a cheese allergy was wondering what I could eat (went for the 2 for 15.00 special offer which is pasta and pizza only) however on arrival, I decided to try a pasta dish (after checking no cheese in it which the waitress went and asked the chef) I went for the Linguini Pollo Funghi, we also ordered the Lasagne and 2 pizza's the Veg and Florentine All the people in the party was amazed at the size of the dishes and who lovely is all looked and tasted we will be booking again with more friends to try it"

"delightful food, good portions for the price they pay, and a good selection of options for all nutritional requirements. we will be back again and we are happy with the service, employees once they were polite and keep them with recommendations and a healthy interest in the creation of recommendations and the specializations. the chef is present and strives to ensure that guests enjoy the food. I will warm up on two fronts, first the restaurant is a bit loud and this leads to problems when booking via the phone, so they use the app service to book and if they are hard to hear a table before the restaurant before the bar. the second is that this place is not wheelchair access there is a step at the front doof, not huge but no ramp and the disabled toilet is close to the kitchen door and was out of operation when we last visited, so could best check in ahead."

"Recently went here for my Mums 70th birthday on saturday 20th September, we had a lovely upstairs room and fantastic waitress service not too stuffy either. food was excellent, wines perfect even allowed us to decorate the room a little early. Nothing too much trouble. Definitely recommend for a special evening not often I say this word Perfect in every way. Thank you to the team."

"Amazing and delicious food, served in a unique and cosy environment with a great host. We all tried a mixed starter (chefs platter) which everyone seemed to enjoy and was really varied. The mains were equally brilliant, but make sure you read the menu properly (hot really does mean hot). The presentation of all of the food was equally impressive. All in all, a great night. Would highly recommend, we will definitely be going back. (party of seven, all adults, preordered food, waited less than 5 min per course, all food can be seen being cooked fresh, great value)"
