"It’s sort of become tradition for my wife I to treat ourselves to a breakfast out on our last day on holiday after leaving our cottage accommodation. We spent a week in Richmond; have never been to the area before and were pleased, after internet searching, to have found this lovely place. We had to leave our cottage by 10:00am and drove the short distance straight to Middlemoor Farm and, so, arrived quite early on a Saturday morning – we were the first to arrive. It was a lovely sunny day, which just emphasised the lovely surroundings. We were greeted by a lovely lady who asked us if we’d been before, to which we said no, and she explained that it was her first ever morning on breakfasts. She was most friendly and made us feel so-very welcome. There are plenty of tables inside and we chose to sit near a window overlooking a field with sheep grazing – I mean…what an idyllic place to have your breakfast. She and the Cook were so accommodating when we asked if we could both have a ‘full English’ but with veggie sausages instead of meat sausages bacon. I say accommodating because a veggie version was not on their menu and they had to look to see if they had any, which they did. That’s worth noting for those wishing not to eat meat – just ask ‘em and see. The breakfast, side plate of toast butter and pot of tea was just perfect – really tasty and we didn’t leave a thing. There’s a lovely shop attached with many gift items, very clean toilet facilities and in addition to the indoor seating, there’s plenty of outdoor seating too; some of which were covered with a gazebo during our visit. They have card payment facilities. Thank you to the staff of Middlemoor Farm Café for making our traditional last day breakfast out one to remember – we will be back if-staying in the area again."

Fentimans lemonade, gorgeous gluten-free caesar salad lemon meringue for pudding. We visited here with family. Lots of parking outside. Great views of the surrounding countryside. There's a distinct sheep theme throughout from the paintings on the walls to the Herdy products on sale in the small shop next door. Recommended. Very relaxing!

We visit Richmond frequently but had never been here. What a find it was. Delicious food, I completely cleared my plate of the quiche, salad and fries. Water given on the table, without having to ask was a nice touch too. Friendly staff. There isn't that many tables so would really suggest booking so as to avoid being disappointed. Looking forward to visiting again in the new year.

We found Middlemoor Cafe on trip advisor whilst looking for somewhere to eat in Richmond. It’s outside of Richmond but we’ll worth a trip. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area. If visiting during December worth ringing a head to book a table as they were very busy with Christmas lunches, we timed it right and got the last table.

I had lunch here today to celebrate a friends birthday , having been before with my walk group and enjoyed it so much then I wanted to introduce this little gem of a place to a few more friends. 5 of us ate today, and we all agreed we will be making a return visit. Our food tasted so fresh and was presented so prettily on the plate. The Lady serving us was friendly and helpful . The desserts and cakes are scrumptious and we finished off by strolling around the plant centre outside. I recommend this lovely cafe 100

As a group of 5 friends, we visited for lunch to celebrate a recent birthday. We live fairly locally and some of us had been before and some hadn’t. We all agreed the food was fantastic and the service excellent. As an added bonus, there’s also a small nursery selling really good plants (we all bought some! and a little gift shop with some lovely things for sale too. It’s certainly more than a cafe and would be somewhere we’d go again for either a lunch with friends or a special treat. There’s an outside are you can sit out in on a warm day with a lovely outlook over their garden and fields. But do ring and reserve a table beforehand so you’re not disappointed!

We visited here a few years ago and have been trying to find it again as had forgotten where it was. We are so happy we hit the jackpot and found it again. A warm and friendly welcome from the booking on the phone to our actual visit. Beautiful farm cafe, oozing charm, warmth and friendliness. To top it all the food certainly didn’t disappoint. A really lovely menu, all beautifully presented and service with a smile. Jill went out of her way to make us feel welcome and engage. A real gem of a place we can’t wait to revisit. There is also a charming gift shop with delightful products. If you don’t pay this lovely venue a visit, you are definitely missing out. Thank you for a perfect lunch and...

"We had booked with booking.com . On arrival we were told that we didn't get breakfast included and that it would be £15 a head. We accepted this although thought was pretty steep for breakfast in a pub.The first morning we were given a menu clearly stating that breakfasts were included with all accommodation. I ordered poached eggs with smoked salmon and the other two ordered a full English breakfast which included homemade black pudding. The breakfasts arrived ,one of my poached eggs was runny, the other hard. The English breakfasts had no black pudding on the plates and when queried we were told that the deliveries hadn't arrived. Doesn't homemade imply made on or near the premises and as the owner states he is a butcher by trade I would expect he had made the black pudding. No alternatives were offered and presentation was distinctly lacking , with the baked beans poured over the other items. The next day I risked the full breakfast with black pudding which was lovely. But again the others had badly cooked poached eggs. We were offered no fruit juice, cereal or even toast and marmalade. On leaving we discovered the pub was unmanned , despite poor mobile signal. The owner turned up after 15 minutes. The bill was handed over, charging us for seven breakfasts when we had six, it was adjusted after he asked if one of us had had two breakfast one day? He served and cooked them so should know the answer to that. We were also then overcharged for nine coffee when three coffees and two teas had been ordered. Having had a family B and small hotel in York I advised him that standards were not what I was used to. I spoke to someone who had also visited recently and she stated a member of staff had charged them £15 per head for their similar breakfast where we were charged the menu price. Exceptionally poor menu, inaccurate advise saying breakfast included then charging us and probably the worst breakfast I have eaten in similar accommodation."
