The food service was excellent and offered great value for hotel guests.

3 courses in and lots of drink later, recommend the Cap Cette Picpoul de Pinet.

We did receive a great service from a lone staff member. However my shrimp salad, for 14 gbp, was one of the worst I’ve had, no dressing very small portion and boring, like the restaurant’s character! Very poor wine list with exaggerated prices. Certainly two thumbs down.

We waited nearly 50 minutes to be served, and I felt really sorry for the waitress, who had to apologize four times for the delays, especially since there were only six diners, four of whom were already enjoying their desserts. The food was delightful, and the service was excellent, but the restaurant was nearly empty, and the portion sizes were quite disappointing. As I am following a strict diet and dining alone, I chose the steak for its protein content. My three friends ordered the sea bass, and we all agreed that it looked more like a starter than a main course. The steak could have benefited from some tomatoes, mushrooms, or a small side salad, while the fish would have been better with more vegetables. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.

If you're staying at the hotel, I would strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. It took an hour for our starters to arrive, and the food was cold, bland, and overpriced. When we voiced our complaints, we were ignored, and not once did a waiter check on us during our visit. After 2 hours, I had to get up and order a drink from the guy at the register. The £16.95 chicken parmesan looked more like a low-quality chicken escalope with some dry Parma ham and a bit of tomato puree on top. The place is severely understaffed, so I would recommend looking elsewhere.

I don't usually leave comments on reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience this time. I had a reservation and arrived 15 minutes early, but the food was disappointing at best. I ordered venison, while my partner chose sea bass with samphire and roast potatoes. Unfortunately, neither dish met our expectations. The venison was tough and bleeding onto the plate, while the sweet potato mash was lumpy and lacked flavor. My partner's sea bass was soggy and undercooked, the samphire had completely lost its flavor and was overcooked, and the roast potatoes were burnt.
