It was just the right amount of something sweet for a very cheap price. We ordered the Sushi Moriawase, one of the more expensive items £26). The sushi was decent, better than what you would get in the well known sushi chain restaurants at around the same price point. The bad: It might be more accurate to describe this place as a canteen rather than a restaurant. There 's zero ambience or attractive décor, the tables are very closely placed together, and the wait staff will clear your table very quickly once you 're finished a dish. We never got the feeling we were being rushed or were expected to leave, but it 's not a relaxing place to unwind. One of the waitresses was in such a rush she dropped a full bowl of food on the floor at the table right in front of us... Summary: In Japan, you 'll encounter casual, cheap, unpretentious comfort food eateries known as Shokudo. Misato is a Shokudo in central London. It 's a step up from 'Wasabi ' and 'Yo! Sushi ', but you 're not there to take in the atmosphere and the surroundings, or to try adventurous takes on Japanese classics you 're there to have reasonable Japanese meal, at a reasonable price, and to leave shortly after."

Excellent Japanese restaurant! We had udon soups and some sushi, everything was delecious and tasty. Staff are nice and friendly everything is clean.

Really not great. Food really a 1 but I have given an extra point because the staff were really nice. Dry Katy’s chicken, awful salad, the only thing that was good was the miso. Would not repeat.

Dropped by here to pick up some Chicken Katsu Curry for lunch. The service was friendly, prices were fair and portions were good. It's wasn't the tastiest Katsu I've had, but it was good nonetheless.

Used to be really enjoyable food experience. Now they were rude and pushed me out even though there were loads of free tables available. Also their food has become tasteless and mass produce. never again! Ver carta

I have been a customer for over 20 years. The food is always delicious, freshly prepared and it’s reasonably priced. The menu has many options and throughout the years I have tried any dishes and I have never been disappointed. The staff is very polite.

Amazing authentic Japanese restaurant in China town. Delicious food and a variety of meals. The service was efficient and warm. We ate there for 5 days out of our 7 day stay. Erica was lovely and helped us with explaining the menu for one of us who has a food allergy.

This little but cozy Japanese restaurant offers a nice variety of Japanese specialties. After more than 13 years I was finally able to find and eat again Zaru Udon and it was fantastic! Sushi bento box was also super- delicious! Mention of honor to the japanese staff members kindness. Ver carta

The staff were lovely and attentive, always offering a refill of water or checking if I was enjoying my time. The food itself was incredible too, I had a classic chicken katsu curry. Amazing taste and portion size. On top of this it was very reasonably priced. I'm looking forward to bringing my friends with me next time!

Looking for a light meal near China Town trip advisor recommended this . From the outside it looks small , but the line out of the door of people waiting convinced me The format is informal and relaxed I could have been in Tokyo . Small wooden tables. The wait was about 5 mins The service is friendly and fairly speedy . The food tasty . My only niggle is that there could be more vegetarian I ended up eating pescatarian which I only do rarely . My vegetarian option was tempura veg but I wanted something not fried . I’d have loved to see tofu on the menu If you eat chicken or love fish this would be perfect even so I’m still giving this place top marks as it was such a wonderful surprise not t...
