"My first brush with Mongo's was for a birthday dinner in Düsseldorf. Compared to that visit and the few after that, this one failed to meet the expectations.The StaffAs always, greeted with a friendly smile and promptly directed us towards the table. An establishment can be judged quickly by the state of their restrooms, and Mongo's knows how to keep theirs spotless.ServiceUpon sitting down, we were provided with a menu without delay and asked for drinks. Thereafter the concept of Asia Brunch (menu of choice) was explained clearly upon request and the location of everything appropriately shown.The Food:SoupTotal disaster. A commendable selection of items to put in, but the broth tasted like it was flown in directly from the dead sea (extremely salty). Snacks StationOne of the items was labelled, the other one wasn't. The temperature was lukewarm at best, and the sauces were either endangered or extinct.The BuffetUpto the mark. The variety and quality of meats, vegetables and herbs was excellent. The only complaint was that in this particular branch, there weren't any nuts on offer (Apparently they didn't have any that day). It may not seem to be a significant part of the meal, but having been used to a crunch in the food, its absence made all the difference.DessertOur stay extended towards the better part of 9pm, and by that time the dessert station was pretty much empty, and to our surprise wasn't refilled. Luckily we managed to score the last two cups of stracciatella mousse. The taste was to die for, but the lack of replenishment left us longing for more. In the end, our sweet tooths had to be pretty much satisfied with the standard waffle and ice cream.VerdictThe devil lies in the details, and unfortunately this time he wasn't impressed.*Pictures taken in an earlier hour"

I was with my family to eat, it is a great restaurant with very nice staff and delicious food. the service (samy or sami) was very friendly and very helpful. we are very happy to come back.

who likes Asian diversity is right here. nice ambiente a bit loud but as already described almost you could say it is already a must. who likes to drink a good cocktail is right here.After eating you can take a wonderful walk on the duisburger inner harbour promenade digest.Parking I recommend to park on a next road in front of the bridge, but there is also bus stop approx. 50-200 meters before this restaurant

I was recommended to this restaurant by friends...because it wasn't as hoped! the local was well visited, unfortunately the service was overwhelmed. it takes a very long time to order and unfortunately we had to wait very long for our ordered drinks. the food was then unfortunately a bit dry, there is something missing from marinade. because this was our first visit, we did not know each other. when we ordered, we asked the service to recommend a marinade. when we got the board, we were asked a bit plump, which marinade should be. In total we felt a little alone and would not visit this restaurant again, despite a good concept.

eating is fine for the price. However, the personal is too incompetent to enter a reservation at the right day into the system. I have reserved a month before Mother's Day for 7 people and was booked on another day. the colleague sat next to me repeated 4 times the day and got to say three times my name and eight times my handy number, because it was probably too complicated. I've never been so ashamed of my family since we actually wanted to tell them about nice eating that I had engaged with my partner. thank you for one of the worst days in my life. I will now also only approach every one of us to eat here almost to the mongo’s.
