"Excellent service all round. Although bar staff were busy they paid attention to waiting customers. Slightly disappointed as got the impression that the food had been nuked in the microwave as came out within 5 mins. I had a burger which was fine! Nonetheless you couldn’t complain about the price as very good value. A special mention to the fellow behind the bar and Jason top man an excellent sense of humour.. All in all a great night as all enjoyed the birthday bash. Will definitely call again."

"This carvery is simply the best in the region. While there have been some changes, such as not being able to serve yourself and certain menu items missing (like cauliflower cheese), the price is very reasonable at £7 for a large carvery. The meat is beautifully cooked, with huge Yorkshire puddings, delicious roast potatoes and stuffing, fresh vegetables, and tasty gravy. The manager and staff are lovely, making it a great place to dine. It's unfortunate that some visitors are not appreciative of the fact that the restaurant has recently reopened and may have some teething problems. There is no excuse for shouting and screaming at the manager over a genuine mix-up with meals that she personally apologized for. This behavior is unacceptable."

"The food at this restaurant is excellent! The service is quick and efficient. The staff are very friendly, kind, and helpful. I would highly recommend this chippy. They also offer a variety of kebab options, but we chose to stick with the traditional chippy food. I only gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because it's a takeaway place, so you just order, wait in line, and leave. It doesn't affect the overall experience."

"Booked and ordered table 3hrs before, on arrival all pleasant and fine. Ordered drink and then 30mins later still waiting to order. This after indicating to service staff (several times) that ready to order and was being told ‘2 mins’ on each occasion. I expressed my displeasure at this lack of customer awareness and attention, and was provided some lame reason that as my wife was talking to someone they (the service staff) felt it best we were left alone. Yet I’d indicated on several occasions that we were ready to order. Food itself and the presentation of how it is served is average. It is nothing worthy of a highlight review, although I do question why the main curry meal is served in a bowl and the rice on a small side plate. The place itself, or where we were sat, was cold, I sat with my large coat on throughout. If you like to be ignored, overlooked and underserved, this is the place for you. Otherwise stay clear."

"We were shown to our table promptly. Three adults and a toddler requiring a high chair. We ordered soft drinks which came quickly. We had to ask for a waitress to then come to take our food order after waiting 20 minutes. Our food then took over an hour to arrive, by which time our toddler was very unsettled and we were past being hungry. Waitress was friendly but clearly was inexperienced. Food itself was adequate. Chips were really nice. But the rest was just ok. I noticed another party return one of their meals. I'm not sure of the reason but it didn't surprise me. I have had several lovely meals at this pub in the past but my recent experience has made me question whether I would visit again."
