"we always eat at mister chips when we visit whitby and never had a bad experience. not only eating delicious, the personal is incredibly polite and friendly, even in the most busy times when there are sneaking outside. the tables are clean and cleaned and the toilet facilities are kept clean and fresh. I recently went gluten-free and yesterday there was enough choice for me. I had grilled with lemon and dillbutter and chips. it was fabulous. many thanks and good to all who work there."

Dedicated GF fryer. All the staff were fully briefed by the owners and knew what gluten was and what to avoid. Excellent fish and chips!

I can’t be bothered with all the Trenchers/Magpie hype... or the queue. Anyway this place is lovely and the fish and chips were exceptionally good.

A very popular place and advisable to book when Whitby is busy. The Fish Platter was the the best in Whitby. Service was friendly and efficient. We have been before and is now my No. 1 place in Whitby for F&C....

Separate tongs used for the gluten free fish chips. Fish chips was lovely and also the curry sauce. There was even a gluten free sticker on the box to make sure no mix up. Gluten free vinegar also. Made to order over 7days a week.

the lightest teig and the most flocking fish I have eaten for a past, finished with the right brot and the butter and a topped all reasonable prices beautiful and clean. the only part is the toilet. they are really tiny and they would really fight to use the baby change facility.

The food was lovely here, especially the starters. The chorizo was lovely. There is a healthy selection of starters to suit most, which was surprising for a fish and chip restaurant. Service was a little slow but the place was very busy and after you taste the food you can see why. Prices were also fairly reasonable.
