"beautiful old world charme pub, menu is great, so much I could have chosen. the place was packed on Sunday in bank holidays, the beer garden is huge, but not many empty spaces, we ordered food, but it was said that it took hours and half, it actually took no more than 45 minutes. When it arrived, it was great. a special mention must go to the young man with ginger hair, his customer service was exemplary and if I had the opportunity to poke him for my own firma, I would also. a young girl who ran around like the young to satisfy all customers, with taking the order number 19, who was an important problem that was created by customers, not to listen to this pub."

All I can say is amazing.. very friendly staff and the fish finger sandwich is just great, thankyou all at the Nelson head will definatly be coming back when we are visiting my mum again

Lovely old school, country boozer. Roaring fire, friendly bar staff and loads of decor to soak up. Well worth a visit after visiting the seals (just don’t park here to do that) Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Lovely food and big portions! Highly recommend the fish and chips.. the fish was fresh and the batter was light and crispy A lovely selection of local ales and fruity ciders that complemented the food perfectly

this has been a popular place for many years to eat and drink as seriously and its tortuous and wrinkled were now famous. it is still a good choice of well kept beer and very good eating. the tartaric acid sauce that came with our sampi was the best of all time, much fine cut green to bring the taste against the mayo. any chance on the recipe!?

We had lunch here yesterday... All seven meals were excellent. Four of us had fish finger sandwiches, one steak and Stilton ciabatta, one Hawaiian burger and a fish and chips. All freshly cooked, good sized portions, the fish and fish fingers with crispy non-greasy batter, lovely chips and fresh salad etc etc. We've been before and will be back when in the area again. Great choice of beers too. Highly recommended
