Fish and chips for two today. Normally very good but tasted like chips cooked in old fat or warmed up. Quality here does not seem consistent. The dogs enjoyed the chips if we didnt

Best chippy in chesterfield. Not snided with grease and uses good quality ingredients. Always willing to try new things, latest is halloumi and chips. Value for money and friendly service, even on a heat wave

Usually go for cod and chips but pies are good as well. Friendly, helpful staff. It’s a bit odd at the moment with Covid but you get used to it. Bizarre but the fish is much better than what we used to get at the seaside! Mini cod is good value or you can have a tasty bigger fish.

This restaurant offers excellent value and delicious food, served by cheerful, friendly, and helpful staff. We visit every week for their fish, kebabs, wraps, and chips. It's wonderful to see that they are maintaining great service during these challenging times. As long as they remain open, we will definitely continue to dine here.

I have had the fish and chips from this restaurant many times. While there have been a few bad days, most of the time it is one of the best. The fish is fresh, the batter is just right, and the chips are tasty. The kebabs and other menu items are also good. The staff is usually friendly, parking is easy, and my food is still hot when I get home.

I was very shocked at the level of customer service at this chip shop. Not only did I get scoweled at by the old women behind the counter possibly the owner as soon as I walked in, she then proceeded to talk to me as tho I was a idiot. I don't know why I put up with it at time I should have walked away and took my money else where. Food was mainly ok but chips cold and hard. I will never go again and neither will my friends.

I’d been craving fresh fish and chips for ages and we really enjoy food from Newbold Fish Bar fish and chips for us and the kids having kebabs and chicken nuggets. Ringing our order ahead we were able to collect at the agreed time with minimal contact. The fish were really big with crispy batter and the chips were great. Everyone polished off their meals and sat back content afterwards. We’ll definitely be doing this again ...

First of all I’m completely honest with every review. I visited this chip shop last week, I requested mini cod prefer cod as no skin unlike haddock and chips with beans. The owner had no small cod left however, he kindly cut a large piece of cod down for me and cooked the fish fresh to order. Fish was very nice, the batter was nice and crispy not at all soggy. Good portion sizes and reasonable price. Chips wasn’t at all greasy. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, my initial experience at this restaurant was not a pleasant one. It was our last day of work before the Christmas break, and we decided to order food from a local chip shop. After spending £35 on Just Eat and waiting for 20-30 minutes, I realized that our order had never been confirmed. With only 20 minutes left of my lunch break, I called the restaurant for clarification. Initially, a man answered the phone but quickly passed it to a woman. She spoke to me in a very rude manner, stating that they were short-staffed and unable to fulfill our order. When I asked about a refund, she laughed and said it was not her problem. I was shocked by her lack of respect and professionalism...
