"I remember when I was younger the idea of eating raw fish seemed quite strange and at that time it wasn’t hugely popular in the UK but in my late teens eventually sushi boxes started to take the place of sandwiches, Yo! Sushi became a regular haunt and I started to fall in love with Japanese food. My sister was my partner is sushi-crime and we loved the fun of the Japanese ‘Kaiten’ and sharing selection boxes from Marks Spencer and other high street places. But soon our fondness for sushi rolls meant we wanted to try the real deal. Back then there wasn’t the plethora of sushi restaurants in London that there is now but we set our sights on the very best…Nobu, Old Park Lane. Once there we clumsily held our chopsticks and we feasted on the freshest succulent sashimi, marvellous maki rolls and crisp shrimp tempura. And then the black cod arrived, the delicious flesh of the fish marinated in miso, had a sweet, buttery taste on the tongues of us young sushi novices…it was incredible…that was it…we were hooked. I’ve now revisited Nobu Old Park Lane many times, always remembering it was the first time I ever had proper sushi…But Nobu has become a bit of an addiction for me and not only do I also love the Berkeley Street branch in London but I’ve actually visited Nobu restaurants on four different continents. My favourite being Nobu Malibu, a beautiful open restaurant where you can sit nibbling on edamame beans whilst taking in a stunning view of the ocean."

the vegetarian maki rolls, tofu steak, sizzling mushrooms and rice are all great choices in nobu. they great every guest with a loud group welcome to japanese called irasshaimase. the bentobox and their homemade lutscher gloom are also amazing. great service/ ambiente.

This was my first experience at a Nobu restaurant and I loved it. The restaurant had a beautiful, bright atmosphere with plenty of natural light. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Each dish was beautifully presented, showing a lot of thought and care from the chefs.

I really look forward to my lunches and dinners with Angie, she's one of my favourite bloggers and someone that I really look up to; she's also a whole bunch of fun and knows the best restaurants in London. . Pretty good recipe for a perfect bloggers lunch date if you ask me. Add the fact that we had decided to go to Nobu, Old Park Lane for the London Restaurant Festival menu in association with Bookatable and I knew this was going to be a hit! Ver carta

So while not as good as the Berkley Sq one, they have some fabulous treats organized for you. Black Cos comes in more varieties than you can imagine- and not just in Miso Sauce. Why would anyone even want anything besides the Black Cod in Miso Sauce is beyond my comprehension. Their pan fried Dover sole is divine and soulful! You are likely to come across a lot of diners here who are repeat customers- why wouldn't they be with a kitchen like this.

It was my first visit to Nobu and even though I had high expectations I was impressed. The quality of the fish itself was excellent, the service was good and even though it was a Thursday lunch time there was a nice atmosphere. Honestly, I think the decor was a bit bare and could do with an update. We had the Bookatable set menu for London Restaurant Festival, and as such we were limited in what we could have, but based on the quality of what I had I really would love to go back; I'd also really like to visit the Berkley Street restaurant, too.

nobu park lane is not quite as good as nobu berkeley mainly due to my experience, the bad acoustic and oversized tables that make the conversation difficult. that is, it is still a fantastic night and reliable good for eating, drinks and service. I highly recommend the lychee martinis (although all drinks are good) as a pre-dinner warm. on the menu have a wonderful selection of black cadjau (also the misery is still my favorite), soft bowl crab tempura, yellowtail thunfisch sashimi with jalapeños and pan fried dover sole are all on my 'must have' list. Nobu Old Park Lane, as well as its sister restaurant on Berkeley Street had previously held a Michelin Star for a long period of time before they were both demoted in the 2014/15 guide. I wonder how much that demotion has actually impacted on their business. Judging on our recent visit on a Saturday night, I would guess not very much. The restaurant was packed with young, hip and trendy with girls in outfits so skimpy you wonder if their intention was to indulge in naked sushi. Then again, maybe I am turning into an old foggy. The original Nobu London opened in 1997 and it is a testament to the brands power and unique food that it remains relevant in today’s fickle, trendy dining scene. The...

1. The atmosphere. Nobu Old Park Lane has a trendy yet adaptable space that is perfect for any occasion, whether it be a small or large gathering and whether you want to dress up or dress down. 2. Tofu Steak. The pan-seared tofu with Nobu’s anticucho sauce or teriyaki is a standout dish. Even non-vegetarians will enjoy it. Vegetarians have a variety of options at Nobu, including hearty salads and flavorful dishes like tofu tempura and grilled aubergine. 3. South American influence. Nobu’s fusion cuisine is influenced by Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa’s time in Lima and Buenos Aires. Dishes featuring Peruvian flavors and seasonings are a highlight on the menu. 4. The view. While Nobu may not...
