"A reliable Thai fusion place right off the river in Basel. Environment is lovely with indoor seating or outdoor seating. When the weather is good. Tables are community-style with benches. Service is friendly personable. International clientele so wait staff are all proficient in English. Good selection of appetizers: edamame, pork belly, naan. Edamame are solid and nicely salted. Pork belly is tasty but I admit I prefer my pork belly either braised to utter tenderness that just melts in your mouth or deep fried like cracklin'...this was sort of half-way between the two, so a bit puzzling to my palate. Naan was not very authentic--too thick and lacked the random burnt bubbles authentic naan gets in the oven. Yoghurt/cucumber dip was great--very refreshing. Papaya salad was crisp and just spicy enough. Not too fishy. Pad Thai was reliable, solid. Bean sprouts were crispy. Butterfly rice noodle salad dish was surprisingly refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. Coconut milk dressing provides a nice tempering balance to the ginger. Mango bits were also tasty balance to the crispy cucumber/carrot curls. Highly recommend the ginger/yuzu spritzer--light, refreshing. It was cold, but not iced. I wonder if they would add ice upon request--with asking next time. They have a pretty interesting cocktail menu but I didn't try anything on it."
