It was most disappointing visit i had. None of the items displayed on the vehicle were available with them (then why waste money painting the vehicle and misleading customers ? .

We found Nukkad on TripAdvisor before visiting and were not disappointed. Situated in the Shambles with a big covered seating area, it's a perfect stop for a quick bite. We had the chicken wraps stuffed with fresh tender chicken and fresh tangy crisp veg with lovely warming spices. We also had the samosa which was equally fab. Highly recommend this little gem for decent Indian Street food!

This meal was our favourite food on our whole trip to York! My friend I are both vegetarian and love Indian food, so we had high expectations but this place really is amazing! We both had a samosa a Masala Dosa and they were absolutely to die for. Lots of places to sit a really good price for the quality of food! Also, the staff working on the stall were so lovely friendly which also added to the experience. Highly recommend!

Visited the historic city of York and was quite impressed with the reviews of this place. Located in the shambles it’s a little shop front selling what is said to be Indian street food. Firstly they are not Indian- obviously not a qualification for cooking Indian but please don’t expect authentic Indian food- to be honest the naan wrap we had could have come from anywhere- not distinctly Indian- tasty yes- but not worth the hype.

This is Asian street food from a van behind the Shambles. And it's good. Very good indeed. £6 for an extremely good spiced potato kathi roll and £6.50 for chicken kathi. There's a few choices, it's cooked to order in front of you and I can't stress how really very good this is. And the bargain of the century. We go every time we're in York and it seems an awful lot of other people do too. Maybe I should keep quiet about this actually. A gem.

My friend and I tried the samosa chaat and a chicken wrap, both of which were delicious and offered great value for money. It was a fantastic way to enjoy lunch in York, especially since the seating area was well-sheltered and suitable for any weather. We also grabbed some canned fizzy drinks, and the total bill was under £10 each. The food was truly scrumptious, and I can't emphasize that enough. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff.

Decided to get a chicken wrap for my lunch break from work yesterday and I think it will be my last as I was very disappointed...for £6.50 a wrap with 3 tiny pieces of chicken and barely any salad in it!! In my honest opinion I don’t think the amount of filling inside the flat bread is enough for a £6.50...I’ve had chicken wraps from food festival in York for the same price and the chicken can be seen in it! Sorry but this is my honest opinion...even Pret A Manger chicken wraps have more chicken in it and it’s cheaper!

Went to York for a day trip and stubbled on the Shambles Market by accident, so glad we did. The weather was miserable so the area was quite quiet but there ar eplenty of food options and benches with parasols to sit under. We decided on some Indian food and I had a samosa and a chickpea Dosa and my boyfriend had a Lamb Kathi roll. He loved it so much he was tempted to back for another. My dosa was so nice and fluffy and was easy to tear. There was a nice spice to the chickpeas. Its great that it's all made fresh in front of you and the service was really friendly. Oh and they take card to.
