The food was excellent today, especially my flavorful smoked mushroom chili. The service was outstanding, thanks to Amy!

What a great atmosphere, great service, great drinks and a great live act; been here numerous times and always a good time. What's not to like?

This restaurant is fantastic and the two staff members we interacted with were incredibly helpful during our visit to Scotland. We tried the haggis and they provided excellent recommendations for the rest of our trip. Ver carta

nice clean bar eating was nice service good while we were there my wife sick took her not enough for us phoned a sick car for her, which fortunately we didn't need, but the staff was very care and had a very vague attitude almost as if her family excellent

Lovely service from Quinn who got us a table even though they were very busy on 16/12/23 and didnt have any at that moment in time, 10mins wait, taken to table, cocktails flowed and the food was brilliant. Staff couldn't have been nicer,helpful and anymore kind to us. Will deffo be returning soon. Thanks for making a Christmas catch up fab

I was very impressed with the excellent service and delicious standard pub food at this restaurant. I particularly appreciated how they went above and beyond to accommodate a child at the next table with a gluten allergy. They even provided high-quality crackers as a thoughtful touch. It's a cozy spot where you can escape the last-minute festive shoppers. Ver carta

What a lovely wee pub, amazing food from the festive menu and a waitress worth her weight in gold. Quinn was so attentive and handled herself so well whilst having to deal with a table of very rude customers sat next to us. Quinn stayed professional throughout our stay and gave us excellent service whilst under a lot of pressure from a very angry table of six! Well done Quinn!

an old building dating from the 1670s originally dominated by dominican monks, the villages of the preacher founded in toulouse, the pub reeks of history and has fine glass windows, the pub ground floor is on three different flats with a lot more comfortable sitting opportunity, a pleasant welcome as they arrive, we had lunch with generous portions and wonderful black beer. a must visit pub in Aberdeen.

Booked into Old Blackfriars for a meal before heading off to a concert and we were not disappointed! The pub was so welcoming, cosy and full of festive cheer that we decided to choose the Festive Rarebit Burger and Vegan Festive Burger options to get us into the Christmas spirit. You have GOT to head along to Old Blackfriars to try these meals as they were delicious. Absolutely perfect! There were so many tempting options on the menu so we will have to head back soon to try something else next time. Charlie, the Manager, and his team looked after us so well during our visit.
