"I’ve been to this pub a few times and I finally got round to writing a review. I mean it when I say that this is the best pub in Sussex, it has everything you’d want, a traditional pub style, lots of parking, amazing food and lovely staff. My latest visit was as a group of 12 people for a friends birthday and our servers Lisa and David were great very attentive and made us feel very welcome even on a busy Saturday. They never got impatient with us even when we were splitting the bill 12 ways or getting indecisive when ordering food. I cannot recommend this pub enough, the menu is huge with amazing specials every time I visit with traditional options as well as lots of unique options, everything I have tried in my 4 or 5 visits has been delicious. The pub is also surrounded by lovely countryside so there are plenty of options if you want to go for a walk before lunch."

Staff friendly fish and chips excellent but disappointed with a chicken bacon and avocado wrap. Dry with a scrape of mashed avocado on the wrap.

Excellent value and service with delicious food and generous portions. We had a sharing meditteranean platter between 4 of us, followed by 2 carveries and 2 Moules. More than enough to satisfy a healthy apetite.

Absolutely totally bad place !! I do not recommend this place, the stuff we’re rude they don’t have they stuff up to standards tried to accuse me of leaving and not paying the sausages where burnt the burgers where dry

You can not find a more friendly pub than the Old Oak. Staff are so friendly the food is amazing and the service spot on. You genuinely feel like you are a local on your first visit, they remember your order and bring it to you. Food is so tasty and great value, any amendments to your order are accommodated.

Wonderful Staff, and the people who run this little Country Pub are lovely. Had lunch in the garden today with live music in the garden, was the best ever. Lovely family and great food, and we love Hugo to bits!! the pubs wonderful Black Labrodor) can't wait to spend our Summer weekends here. We are so lucky to live so near.

Warm friendly and welcoming and most important the food was great. Unlike many chain pubs that proport to do freshly cooled food, the standard at the Old Oak was very high, the portions were also very generous. I would certainly say this was value for money and much better quality than the generic food that many pubs serve. I will return and certainly do recommend.

We went twice over a week. Once we sat outside and second time inside. Both times were served by very pleasant staff and the food was good. The second time it was my husbands birthday and they put up a small banner saying happy birthday and served his dessert on a plate which said Happy Birthday. It’s these little touches which often make a difference to one’s enjoyment.

Fabulous pub...old school no gastro thrills just a good old decent pub serving great beers and food. Staff very welcoming and ambience great. We'll done all staff and management please do not change a thing ! A breath of fresh air...non of that table's booked or have you booked on the app ! Or kitchen now closed like most other so called gastro pubs in the area ! One day you gastro pubs will be begging the customer back on.your knees ...Trust me !
