I went to this restaurant for dinner and had a great evening.

This restaurant is excellent in all aspects - the food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a perfect score of 5.

Expensive for what you get and you don´t get a lot. Disappointed with the Sunday roast. The pub is nice, so is the location and the service, who was very attentive Ver carta

Great food. Generous portions. Good vegetarian options. Buddha Bowl was superb. Lovely location and garden and friendly staff. Good choice for a dog friendly lunch out. We'll return.

Excellent meals and good choice. I had Goan curry, very tasty and very filling. My friend had fish and chips she too said it was very fresh and not oily. Really amazing country pub! We visited as a large group and the service provided by the staff was exceptional. Lisa in particular was very accommodating to us and we had no faults with the food at all. All our orders came out correctly and in good time for a large group. The food was delicious and the menu options were very diverse. Fantastic pub with a lovely atmosphere and friendly stuff. Will definitely be visiting again! Ver carta

We visited as a large group of 13 for a friend’s birthday on a Saturday. We were accommodated for wonderfully with them putting up a birthday banner as well as doing a birthday plate which they brought out with a candle! The food was absolutely incredible special mentions to the loaded mac and cheese, Brie and bacon chips, the firecracker ramen, and all of the desserts! Lisa made us all feel very at home and adapted to our needs as best as she could and we are all super grateful for such a lovely meal and atmosphere!

I’ve been to this pub a few times and I finally got round to writing a review. I mean it when I say that this is the best pub in Sussex, it has everything you’d want, a traditional pub style, lots of parking, amazing food and lovely staff. My latest visit was as a group of 12 people for a friends birthday and our servers Lisa and David were great very attentive and made us feel very welcome even on a busy Saturday. They never got impatient with us even when we were splitting the bill 12 ways or getting indecisive when ordering food. A friend told me to try here, after a not so good pub meal recently. We have been going here for years, last time was last summer, so spur of the moment decision we went at midday on the first sunny day this year. It was really busy inside and the garden was buzzing. Hubby ordered the Bangers and Mash, and was really impressed, 3 large good quality sausages and Creamy fluffy mash With loads of thick gravy and tender broccoli, which he loved. I had the Moules Frites, Wow! A Huge portion of tender Mussels with gorgeous white wine and garlic sauce. With Bread and crispy chips.
