"Went for a late afternoon beer and thereafter a quick dinner at Oscars in Freiburg. It was close to the parking garage and it looked cosy inside. Couple of people were drinking a beer or two but it was not very busy. We sat down in a small seating location which was a bit higher located then the rest so we had a good lookout over the place.After we had our drinks we ordered a light dinner, stir fried vegetables with shrimps and vegetable curry with chicken. The food came quite quick and was accompanied with some bread. The curry was very tasty and a bit spicy, the stirred fried vegetables were way to oily but very well seasoned. We finished our dinner payed and left. Nothing extraordinary about this place but good to have a drink and some light meal."

we had a family lunch. the food was very good, and prices are fair. had 2 pasta dishes and one beef steak. all was made perfectly. service was wonderful and welcoming.

Despite being relatively expensive by German standards, this rather well known bar had a disappointing selection of Gin and Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The music was very loud indeed, although the service was quite good.

Nice place in French bistro style where you can enjoy a great brunch (large selection of items to choose from). Service is quick and friendly, price quality ratio is good too! Went back to have a salad - was huge and very tasty!

This lovely cafe/restaurant is in Freiburg centre, but away from the oft-crowded cafes on the main streets. The schnitzel was delicious, the 'snack' currywurst was actually quite large (pleasantly surprised) and everything was beautifully presented. Good selection of drinks (and quite a lot of fruit juices to choose from). Staff were helpful and very nice.

Among the places for a quick coffee or small meal near my working place I prefer this: its nicely decorated. You get several small dishes which are agreeable and reasonably priced. The selection of cakes is limited, not all are good. But if you look at the daily offers it's pretty clear what is good. Some cakes are really good. I find it strange the quality gap between the various cakes is so big.

Went here for dinner with 5 other men while in Freiburg on business. One of the guys said earlier in the day that they fancied a steak and we came across Oscar's. Ordered a starter of Nachos which was disappointing; just Nacho chips and salsa- no cheese, peppers... I think all 6 in the party ordered steaks and they were very good- good cuts of meat and cooked perfectly. Wine list was limited but you can't have everything. Would return.

I visited with my 16 year old son. Having eaten traditional German food for a couple of days, I was ready to try something different ( although my son still wanted to eat Spatzle!). I had a really good Argentinian steak with salad and wild mushrooms for Euro 16 and my son had a very good pork medallions dish with butternodels ( just as good as Spatzle, in his opinion!). Although the menu was limited, the food we had was really very good and I would recommend.
