"Una bella esperienza gastronomica in un contesto molto piacevole. I decori e l 'atmosfera sono molto belli, il servizio buono, l 'accoglienza e l 'attitudine del personale è calorosa. Il menù offre la possibilità di mangiare alla carta oppure due percorsi di degustazione a prezzo fisso. La qualità dei prodotti è molto buona e i cibi sono piacevolmente saporiti. Insomma, nel complesso un 'esperienza che consiglio vivamente. Avrei voluto dare 5 stelle ma mi sono fermata a 4 per due cose che vorrei commentare, che sono certa potrebbero essere due punti costruttivi per i gestori del ristorante. La prima riguarda la carta del menu nella sezione dei secondi piatti di carne, che offre solo due piatti, che non sono proprio amati da tutti: il piccione e il coniglio. Penso che sia opportuno offrire un altro piatto, di più facile scelta, che sia o di vitello, o di maiale o di manzo. La seconda cosa riguarda la quantità delle porzioni. L 'antipasto 'Millefoglie di verdure ' è piccolissimo, così come la porzione degli 'Spaghettoni con le capesante ' non è sufficiente. Anche il dessert al cocco si finisce subito in tre bocconi... Non è sicuramente una questione di prezzo del piatto che il cliente paga, non è un commento per chiedere di abbassare il prezzi. Bensì perché penso che 20 grammi in più di pasta oppure tre o quattro pezzettini in più di verdure, non cambiano il costo del piatto al ristoratore. Penso che sia opportuno riflettere, essendo questo un punto di vista del cliente che viene a mangiare a casa vostra. A parte queste due cose, è stata sicuramente una esperienza molto positiva. Torneremo sicuramente!"

"Natürlich sind die Erwartungen hoch, wenn man eines der (im Gault Millau) höchst bewerteten Restaurants im Tessin besucht. Das Restaurant ist modern und sehr schön eingerichtet, im Souterrain gibt es noch einen schönen Weinkeller.Der Empfang und auch die Betreuung während des Essens waren überaus zuvorkommend und herzlich. Das amuse bouche steigerte dann noch die Vorfreude eine wunderbare Creme mit Rucola in einer knusprigen Kugel aus hauchdünnem Brotteig. Das Mittagessen selbst traf dann leider nicht unseren Vorstellungen: Das Tatar vom Zander war ziemlich naturbelassen wir hätten 's gern aromatischer gehabt.. Bei der Pasta mit Meeresfrüchten haben wir ein paar Kilometer von der italienischen Grenze entfernt eigentlich ein mediterranes Gericht erwartet, sie wurde war aber an einer gebundenen Krustentiersauce serviert, welch uns nicht so passte. Vielleicht hätten wir auch genauer nachfragen sollen. Auch dass als Hauptgang bestellte Kalbskotelette war nicht gerade butterzart ."

"nice restaurant, with many covers and 3/4 tables open, only that they give on the road, basically they pass you next to the pedestrians while eating. we went with groupon and we were pretty good. the appetizer with fried dumpling was delicious, even the meat was not bad. Of sweets, very little choice, but I don't know if it depends on the fact that we were with groupon. We have this doubt. the thing that we did not like is that in the offer there was included wine, we asked if we could replace it with water or drink and they told us not, that we have to pay it apart. there had already happened in another restaurant and had accepted, also because the wine costs more. We returned this year, all good, but still very little choice of sweets, only 2. sin."

"This lovely little *Garden Tavern is located in the heart of Morbio Inferiore, a village situated in the hills overlooking Mendrisio and Chiasso, in the southern part of Ticino near the border with Italy. Once surrounded by vineyards and other agricultural activities, today Morbio Inferiore is a residential suburb for the affluent 'ticinesi ' working in the nearby cities of Chiasso or Mendrisio. The tavern is in what presumably was once an ancient residential home, next to the main square, the village council building and the ever present village church. The discrete setting is therefore ideal for a romantic tête à tête, a dinner with friends or family, even why not? a luncheon among colleagues or with clients. The menu is complete, with starters, firsts, seconds and desserts. For each, there is a choice of 4 6 dishes, all seasonal and all rigorously homemade. For seconds, on top of meat or other seasonal dishes, there is a selection of polenta (a corn flour staple in Ticino and northern Italy served with the typical 'brasato ' (pot roast , 'funghi ' (porcino mushrooms , or a hearty slice of gorgonzola cheese. Vegetarians need not worry, as the menu has several non meat dishes. (The evening I went there they didn 't serve risotto, but I am quite sure they do on a regular basis, it being other staple food in the region together with polenta. The wine card is rich and, in my opinion, well balanced between local wines (Ticino produces mainly red Merlot and Italian ones, even 'important ' reds such as Le Grive (Piedmont or Peppoli (a well known chianti from Tuscany , to name just two that caught my attention. I had a starter and a main course, followed by dessert and a glass of local red. The portions are not large, neither small, suitable therefore for the gourmet and for the gourmand alike. If you are a gourmet, you can go with the full 3 course meal, plus dessert, and still leave the place on your own two feet. If you 're a gourmand, well, you can always as for extra polenta... I will certainly visit again this cute and friendly restaurant, where homemade cuisine is one of its trademarks, the others being the good service, well presented dishes, and the discrete rural with a modern twist atmosphere."

"Für den Abschluss unseres Lugano Besuchs hatten wir uns am Sonntagmittag die Vecchia Osteria Seseglio ausgesucht. Ohne vorherige Reservierung betraten wir gegen 14:00 Uhr das Restaurant. Wir wurden von einem jungen Ober freundlich begrüsst und uns wurde sodann ein Tisch zugewiesen, gleich im ersten Zimmer nach dem Eingang. Wertiges , edel rustikales Ambiente, cozy, grosse Tischabstände, man fühlt sich wohl und erspürt zugleich das Anspruchsniveau, dass hier befriedigt wird. Auf unsere Nachfrage wurde uns der ganze Rehrücken empfohlen, da dieses Gericht eine besondere Spezialität sei und auch nur in dieser Jahreszeit erhältlich ist. Umfangreiche Weinkarte mit regionalen Tessiner und renommierten internationalen Produzenten bei guter Jahrgangstiefe, etwa mit Faktor 2,5 3 kalkuliert. Die Weinberatung durch den Sommeliere in Fremdsprache auf englisch nicht zielführend. Die erste geöffnete Flasche wurde nach dem Probeschluck von uns abgelehnt, da der Wein einen dominanten Holzton besass und somit die gestellten Anforderungen an Harmonie, Balance und Trinkreife nicht erfüllte. Anzumerken ist, dass die Flasche jedoch anstandslos zurückgenommen wurde. Eine zweite Flasche eines anderen Tessiner Produzenten war dann besser, jedoch auch nicht wirklich auf Augenhöhe mit dem fantastischen Rehrücken, der folgte:Dieser wurde am Tisch tranchiert, in Scheiben geschnitten und mit den klassischen Beilagen dazu auf einem Teller serviert. Feinster Wildgeschmack, zart wie Marzipan, die feinen Beilagen inkl. der Sauce eine Sinfonie von Harmonie und Aromen, ein perfektes Weihnachtsessen schon am 1. November. Ganz besonders gefallen dabei hat der Geschmack der Birne. In dieser Qualität und Vollendung wurde uns dieser Wildklassiker noch nirgends serviert. Grosse Küchenleistung. Herzlichen Dank für dieses wundervolle Mittagessen!"
