"Actually our second visit we went first on our drive down to the Dordogne, loved it so much, made sure we went again on our way back to Vendee. Despite a hitch with the booking, the lunch was again absolutely incredible. Complimentary amuse-bouches ..seared tuna or a creme brûlée made with foie gras sounds weird, but was delicious, so clever. Then came another complimentary taster, a melon sorbet with few strips of raw or cured beef, and a bit of meat sauce. Again, sounds strange, but surprisingly tasty. I had the steak, my wife had the Tuna Rossini (again, a new taste for us), both were simply inspired and beautifully cooked. But it was the dessert which blew my mind a chocolate thing which if I described would lose it's magic just heavenly, and I thin the best pud I have ever tasted. We have some foody friends we will be sending here, and will return to stay the night, simply to try the food again. I know there are many star reviews here, and I cannot stress how well deserved they are. The Chef is clearly passionate, and was keen to make sure we were happy. "We came back as promised in this crêpery after several months and we are once again very happy to eat its cakes always as copyy. salads garnished .crèpe sweet.... Very nice setting and quick and pleasant service to eat in the water's dorm... Very satisfying rates. Congratulations to the cook who with this heat fills the stomach continued like that..I recommend this establishment a thousand times.. Merciiiiiiii"

"Second time we have been here within the month and again it did not disappoint. There were six of us and despite not making a reservation they found two tables for us and pushed them together. Service was friendly and efficient and the food was...delicious. The dorade royale was perfectly cooked and flaked apart, the three portions of lamb were equally well cooked with very little fat and the two venisons were pink and perfect. The small courgette 'souffle ' was also a perfect seasonal vegetable portion. The desserts also did not disappoint, although the creme brûlée was a bit 'eggy ' rather than creamy. A great lunch and no doubt we shall be back again!"

"Dommage qu'on ne puisse mettre une note entre le 3 et le 4. Grandes salles un peu froides mais avec une vue superbe sur la Gartempe. Une cuisine un peu banale, des viandes trop cuites, une attente vraiment longue entre le plat et le dessert mais rien à redire sur le rapport qualité prix. J'ai donc choisi de mettre un 4..."

"Situated next to the cinema, so, perfect if you want to combine the two tickets available that do just that for a very very cheap evening. Fish n chips is great, and the specialities are always varied and tasty, but my personal favourite is...the kids' menu, chicken cornflakes crispy and tasy, much better than anything I've ever had from a fast food restaurant. Take-aways are superb and meals on wheels available with different menus every day at superb value. A real find and a massive plus for the area!"
