Pizza Express - Carta

I went to this restaurant on a Sunday night. The doors were held open for us as we came in from the rain and cold. The food was delicious and Max and Ian provided excellent service. We were able to use some vouchers, so it was a great value for us.

The service was friendly albeit a bit slow inwent with 2 children on a friday night and it wasnt full. After an hour however we hadnt been served the main courses. My main issue however was the classic Margherita Pizza which was more like Tomato Garlic Bread with a spattering of cheese. Doughy and flimsy with sod all cheese .

Don’t believe any offers received from this restaurant business as they don’t stand by them manager couldn’t even be bothered to discuss my complaint I’ll post further information on a regular basis once I’ve been in touch with the hierarchy shambles of a night out ruined by the ineptitude of Pizza Express and it’s management Ver carta

I felt racially targeted when the woman implied that we were not welcome because of our appearance. As a Kenyan Indian young adult, I found this behavior unacceptable. It is disappointing that a well-known company like Pizza Express would tolerate such behavior from its customers. My friends and I are regular patrons of this establishment, and this experience has left us feeling disappointed and disrespected.

What should have been a lovely birthday celebration for a group of polite teens, mostly paying for themselves with wages from part time jobs, ruined by extremely rude waitress. Too polite to complain on night and still left tip! My niece was told to shut up (accompanied by one of several eye rolls) when simply checking there were enough margaritas on the order (she’s a waitress herself). I wish I’d been there gggrrr.

I took my grandchildren there tonight, totally disappointed by the new menu. There were two adults I wanted a pizza Venezia shouldn’t have been taken off the menu I ordered what I thought was another savoury pizza it turned out to have sweet caramelised onions on it. My wife’s pizza was very disappointing as hardly had any tomato sauce. I ordered the figs as a desert but they had no figs told me they ran out on Friday, definitely not the same as it use to be! My friends and I, all 15-year-old girls, were trying to enjoy our night at a restaurant when a woman at a nearby table took a photograph of one of the girls at our table. She then started loudly complaining and giving us dirty looks. We tried to ignore her and continue with our evening, but she eventually swapped seats with her daughter and came over to our table. She began shouting at one of the girls, accusing us of being rude and trying to intimidate her, when all we wanted to do was enjoy our meal. We came here for something to eat on a Saturday evening before a flight from Manchester Airport. On arrival, we noticed that the restaurant was busy, but we had reserved a table so didn't think anything of it. We stood waiting to be acknowledged by a member of staff for about 5 minutes before the duty manager came across to us. He pointed us in the direction of a table and we made our way across to it. We quickly discovered that the table had been a table of 4 which had been split into two tables of two (so much for booking). We visited Pizza Express, Hale, Ashley Rd last Saturday (1st). There were 4 of us and 3 of our party, including my daughter are coeliac, I have allergies too- nuts, tomatoes and milk we are also a mixture of vegetarian and vegan. I hope I have the names correct- Our server Max is outstanding at his job, the service is fantastic here, he went through the menu with us and explained the app to us. Brilliant waiter!
