"Location The monastery town Lorsch is worth a trip. Attractions include the Lorsch Monastery, the herbal garden, the tobacco barn, the museum, the peonies garden, the fire museum and finally Lauresham – Carolingian history of time to touch. Our tour through Lorsch is hungry. Unfortunately, almost all restaurants are closed on Mondays. In the vicinity of the monastery hall we took a look through the window pane of a pizzeria. It looked very small from outside, but it was open. We tried because we had a bigger way to the camper's caravan outside. Ambiance Already when we entered, we were surprised that another room existed with an outlet counter. The drinks come from the bottle. The tables were diceed in a colourful manner and closely joined together. They were covered with washable tablecloths, decorated with heart patterns or large points. The red wooden chairs were not too comfortable, so the place on a corner bench was very desirable. The walls were decorated with everything that can be attached to a nail, e.g. a large tree image, a mirror, small pictures etc. Either you like it or you look at it. Service A young service worker took care of the drinks and another male food. Without many words – almost shy – our wishes were accepted. Food The menu is clear, but there was no need to offer a pizzeria. Pizzen, pasta, fish, carvings and salad. To 80% pizzen went over the counter – also to take away. We chose the pizza Zingara with Peperoni sausage, paprika, mushrooms and olives (10,00€ and the pizza Occhio di Bue with spinach and egg (9,50€). With lush coating and thin crispy dough, they knew tastefully inspire. They tasted every single ingredient. Peperoni Sausage on pizza Zingara is very picant and if this was not enough, there was still salt, pepper and tabasco available on each table for after seasoning. For the successful completion we were able to pick up a digestive drink. Conclusion A solid thing, no nobles, but pizzen crispy and tasty. All again"

Absolutely not recommended. Were at the cafe and wanted only 2 cups of coffee. After 20 minutes and 3 x inquiries we have risen and gone.

Lorsch ist eine Reise wert. Die Pizzeria ,, Am Kloster``sollte man auf jedenfall besuchen es ist wie ein kurzer Urlaub in Italien, mit guter Pizza und einem Glas Wein ist man hier auf dem Kloster Platz richtig.

Wir waren mit Freunden in der Pizzeria am Kloster. Service super Essen sehr günstig deshalb darf man natürlich auch nicht zu viel erwarten. Wenn man gut essen gehen will würde ich es nicht empfehlen aber die Freundlichkeit des Servicepersonals war super und am Schluß gab es noch einen Kaffee umsonst da war ich echt überrascht.

Pizzen in allen Variationen. Nudelgerichte, Salate alles typisch italienisch. kleines Familienunternehmen. Wenn man was modernes sucht, ist man dort falsch. Das Lokal ist klein und urig. Donnerstags ist Pizza-Tag d.h. jede Pizza 5.--€, Salatteller auch 5.--€.An jedem Wochentag gibt es ein anderes Angebot.Wir gehen öfters im Sommer od. Spätsommer wo man noch draußen sitzen kann.

Im Allgemeinen ist es so, dass diejenigen Restaurants, die in der Nähe von Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen, oftmals teurer sein können als die weiter entfernt befindlichen Cafés und Restaurants. Wir waren Anfang September 2016 in Lorsch und haben uns die Weltkulturerbestätte Kloster Lorsch angeschaut - und - wie es nun mal so ist, Kunst macht hungrig. So suchten wir ein Restaurant, gingen die Nibelungenstrasse hinunter und kehrten dann aber zurück zum Kloster um schließlich einen Tisch zu suchen im Restaurant" Pizzeria am Kloster".
